As we walked into the store, the staff was friendly and welcoming. We already thought of having the platter, and they turned out super good! We enjoyed the meat portion and the rice and salad for the base.
Especially the chicken that has a little spicy kick on it. All the toppings were spot on from the tenderness and the flavor.
Plus the staff offered us to put on some spicy sauce.

This place is AMAZING! I do miss Halal guys but these guys are just as amazing! You get so much food for a decent price, the presentation is beautiful, and the place is nice! You also get a 5% discount as a UCF student! So take it to your advantage! You will get full after one mix platter and it will be worth it! So much protein! Give this place some love!!

We were greeted immediately by a gentleman at the counter, and we told him it was our first time, he immediately gave us a sample of the lamb and chicken. They were both so delicious that we got the platter with a mix. On them, we got the white sauce and mint cilantro sauce. The rice was delicious and the salad gave freshness and texture. We also got a side of fries, that was very well seasoned. The plate had so much food that we could have shared; but that’s ok, tomorrow’s lunch!! For Dessert we got the baklava cheesecake – that one I will not share next time!!! That good!!
The atmosphere was welcoming, place very clean, and staff friendly. Will definitely come back and recommend to anyone wanting fresh tasting food. ☺️

I recently visited Baba’s Halal and had a mixed experience.
The food overall was okay, but some items really missed the mark. The wings, unfortunately, were not up to standard at all — they were dry and had a strange smell. We actually didn’t eat them and ended up throwing them in the garbage. The burger and the gyro wrap were both average, nothing particularly memorable.
The saving grace of the meal was the mixed platter with rice. That dish was flavorful, well prepared, and easily the best thing we ordered. If I were to recommend anything, it would be the platter.
Service-wise, it felt like there might have been some internal issues happening at the front desk. Two of the three staff members came across as rude and didn’t smile or engage much with customers. One of them seemed to struggle while taking orders and kept asking one of the customer to repeat , which felt a bit awkward. On a positive note, the lady who took our order was warm, friendly, and welcoming — she really stood out.
I’m honestly surprised by the 4.9 rating based on this visit. I think there’s definitely potential here, but improvements are needed in both food consistency (especially the wings, burgers, and wraps) and customer service.

I would definitely say the food tasted delicious! The flavors and seasoning were great. I’m not sure about the previous Hala guys, but I can’t complain with this one. The portion size was slightly smaller compared to my previous experiences with other Hala restaurants, where it was consistently filled to the brim. Apart from this minor detail, I still thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Baba’s Halal is absolutely fantastic! The food is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. What really stood out was the service. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived and when she learned it was our first time, she introduced us to the menu and let us try the chicken and lamb. She was super attentive and kind. Clean environment, good portions, and great service!

Baba’s Halal was a spur of the moment stop because we didn’t have a place picked out to eat, but let me tell you I’m so happy we decided to go there. Stepping into the restaurant You are hit with Chic and traditional decor that complements each other perfectly. We decided to have two of the house bangers, which is the jalapeno double smash burger with a side of fries and the chicken and lamb meat mixed grill platter over rice with toppings on the side. The burger is made with fresh halal beef and let me tell you it is delicious The bun was soft, the sauteed onions were grilled to perfection and the burger sauce was spot on. As much as I would like to say the burgers there take the cake, they cannot touch the platters OMG. When I tell you flavortown, you better buy a ticket and come aboard the flavor train because it’s non-stop everything was seasoned to perfection and both the chicken and lamb were juicy, tender and fresh. The amount of food for the price is spectacular also given the high prices of restaurants these days. All said this place really hit the spot dead center and I will be back
