Okay so when I first walked in there was a big line and there was only one girl up there pretty much doing everything less the cooking and I was like oh boy here we go this will take forever. Granted it hasn’t been opened that long so they’re still trying to hire people. But once I started watching the girl that was there working, super organized, smiling all the time she got through every single person, it was just amazing, and her name was Anna. I was just amazed at how she took care of everyone one by one in the dinning area, taking the orders, filling the orders, at the same time handling the drive thru, cleaning tables, etc, just WOW. Once I got my food I was surprised how huge the portion size was and at a really good price too
It was super tasty and their menu is so huge it’s going to take me forever going back to try things. Also met the owner Joe really nice guy as well. If you haven’t been here yet you need to go! More seating is needed but Im sure theyll get to it.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience here, especially after spending over $80 and talking about these sandwiches all week. I ordered three crispy sandwiches: two crispy chicken Philly and one crispy beef. I went over this with the cashier multiple times, literally three times, because I changed my order from a crispy steak to two crispy chicken Phillys. I made it very clear every sandwich needed to be crispy.

When she handed me the screen to pay, I didn’t think I needed to analyze every word because we had just discussed the crispy sandwiches several times. I trusted the order was correct.

It wasn’t.

I ended up with two soggy chicken Philly sandwiches I don’t even eat, with mushrooms and ingredients I never asked for. Only one sandwich, my son’s , was made correctly. Why would only one be made crispy when I asked for three?

When I pointed out the mistake, the cashier brought over the manager, and basically told me in front of the manager, “Well, I gave you the screen to check.” That was incredibly frustrating, because if I’m clearly communicating my order multiple times, I shouldn’t have to double-verify something we already repeated over and over.

Now my daughter and I both have food we can’t eat, and I’m out over $80 with only one correct sandwich with the remaining two i could have made at home better. I’m extremely disappointed and won’t be returning.

Edit: I also want to mention another issue with our order. We ordered shrimp, and half of the order ended up being catfish …something we never asked for. So not only were two of our sandwiches wrong, but even the side we ordered wasn’t correct. It just added to the disappointment and made the whole experience feel careless.

My family has always loved Baba’s. We’ve driven 30 minutes to other locations and spent around $100 each time because it’s one of our favorite places. We were genuinely excited for this location to open, hoping it would become our new go-to spot.

But after all these mistakes in one visit, and the way the situation was handled, we won’t be returning to this location. It’s truly upsetting after being loyal customers for so long.

Baba’s in Plano is quite amazing. My mouth still doesn’t understand what it just ate. I had the famous “Gym Shoe” And holy cow, I am impressed. I’ve eaten at some interesting places, and I have to say this flavor combination and outright mass of food is quite impressive. easily enough for dinner, and lunch and dinner the following day. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not just about the volume, it tastes AMAZING. Typically, when you see a large burrito, you can bet that it’s half stuffed with fillers that taste like crap. That is absolutely not the case with the “Gym Shoe”. It was 100% stuffed with all of the most amazing meats and cheeses that I never expected.
THANK YOU BABA’s, you’ve changed my mind about Mid-West small-chain restaurants.

I’ve visited 5 times, and this is my Final review.

5 trips, only had to wait over 10 minutes ONCE, despite them being packed.
Food was a hit every single time (just like their southside chicago locations)

Prices are about the same as Tastee bitee down the street.

Combo prices are great.

KEY THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW: order mild sauce on the side if you get fries or chicken. (Its a staple signature sauce from the Chicago southside that you NEED to try if uve never had it before).
If they ask you for lemon pepper SAY YES. You can skip the lemon pepper but DO NOT skip the mild sauce.
THEIR LEMONADE IS VERY SWEET. It is made that way by design, and can be overpowering if your not used to natural fruits AND added sugar.

The ONLY con i can give the place is that they dont have their cafeteria music system setup, or their tv’s. So i would imagine dining in probably wouldnt be as fun. But im sure this is subject to change. (Edit: they added the music right after making this review less than 24 hours later so BOOM. Perfect 10/10 for me)

first BaBa’s I’ve went to that DOES NOT toss their “flavored” wings, literally just dumped the honey bbq on top. also did not give bread like they usually do. waited 45mins for fries to be soggy and cold— lazy and gross. super disappointed in everything here. won’t be coming back.

Visited for the second time since their opening. First visit was really good. Ordered Philly Cheesesteak and Italian Beef, both combos came with fries and a fountain drink. Waited less than 10 minutes at a dining table for our food. It was not very busy during our time there mid-afternoon. Food was hot, and very tasty, very pleased. Second visit was carry out, again not very busy at 3:30 in the afternoon. Gyro sandwich and Italian Beef ordered. Gyro was pretty good, not the worst and not the best in my experiences. Generous amount of onion, but those tasteless, pink colored restaurant tomatoes not worth it. Again with fries and get the lemon pepper seasoning they offer. Italian Beef was described as a little tough. Did a side of Okra, a little heavy on the breading, but not too bad. Staff is wonderful, will return to try other things on the extensive menu and will sample the lemonade as well. It’s worth a try!

I checked out Baba’s Famous Steak & Lemonade in Plano during their grand opening week, and I can honestly say it lived up to the hype. Yes, the wait was a little longer because everyone in the city seemed to be there, but once I got my food, I completely understood why.

The steak was on another level — tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Every bite had that signature Baba’s taste: juicy, well-seasoned, and super satisfying. You can tell they’re using quality ingredients and putting real effort into every order.

The lemonade was exactly what I hoped for: cold, refreshing, and full of fresh flavor. It wasn’t watered down or too sugary — it tasted like real lemons, the way good lemonade should. It paired perfectly with the steak.

What impressed me most was that even with the huge grand opening crowd, the staff stayed upbeat and made sure everyone was taken care of. They were moving fast but still paying attention to the details.

Overall, Baba’s in Plano is already a hit. The food is amazing, the drinks are on point, and once the opening-week rush settles, it’s going to be even better.
I’ll definitely be coming bacK.

Not impressed! Had high hopes for this place but don’t think I’ll be returning. I placed an online order for my family. The order was on time, the disappointment hit after I got home & looked at the food. The fries were not crispy & unseasoned. Very bland. The guy behind the counter asked if I wanted lemon pepper salt on my fries which now I think I should have gotten to add some flavor to these boring fries!
My husband ordered the pizza puff combo, big mistake.
The pizza puffs were undercooked so all you taste is a mouthful of greasy dough. It came with 2 but after my husband choked down one he was done.
The kids hot dog I ordered came with onion, tomato & a tiny pickle. I did not order it this way! I tried to remove the onion & tomato & add ketchup but my son wouldn’t eat it.
I had the gyro which tasted fine but came with no toppings. I never specified no toppings so I assumed it would come with the standard onion & tomato. Instead I had to add that at home. I felt like they didn’t put as much meat as I’d expect & get from other places. Overall bad experience. There’s much better places around for a hot dog/burger/gyro. Terrible.
