The food was so good! Visiting from out of state and wanted authentic Cuban food. Restaurant is family owned and the service was impeccable. Portion size is very good too with the prices. The queso frito appetizer was my families favorite appetizer, but I got the Churrasco a lo Chinatown and it was cooked to perfection and so tasty. I would definitely come back!!!

Dined inside. The atmosphere was pleasant with impressive artwork and murals of Cuba. The service was great as well. Having enjoyed the aesthetics of this place shocked me to the core after I found the remains of a cockroach carcass in my Piccadillo platter. I had leftovers so I took them home to share with my wife. As soon as I arrived home, I untied the double knot I had made at the restaurant, opened and emptied the contents onto a plate and into the microwave. I took it out, stirred it and tasted it for temperature and salt, then discovered the horror of a bug cadaver in my mouth.

Fantastic experience. I went there for lunch on a Friday afternoon and the service in the atmosphere was just top notch the beautiful decorations inside and outside the restaurant really make you feel immersed into the jungles of Cuba. The friendly staff was more than accommodating. They gave great recommendations on what to try and the lunch specials were not only perfect for the price but great in portion definitely a family friendly restaurant the things that stood out to me the most were their appetizers called the “Queso Frita” with the guava sauce and the Queso Flan which was better than my Puerto Rican grandmother‘s homemade flan. Would absolutely recommend anybody in the area to come stop by and enjoy the beautiful authentic Cuban cuisine.

Babulu’s is the most amazing place we have eaten for Latin American cuisine, including trying places in the Miami area. We will never go anywhere else. We tried out of curiosity- it was a mistake & it will never happen again.
This family restaurant serves their amazing food with pride. **Every meal** we have eaten has been excellent (we come here almost every weekend). We have tried almost everything on the menu and have NEVER been disappointed. Our favorite are the Chicharrones (pork rinds appetizer), but truly nothing (not even their Asian dish) has been anything short of amazing. You can safely order anything from here and will be very happy with what you receive. They use fresh ingredients, and even their food presentation is on point. I have attached just some photos of our our food from prior visits.
The family is sweet and attentive, and ALWAYS gets our order right. They are also great at refilling drinks and attending to your needs, even with a bustling restaurant.
Babalu’s, thank you for being amazing!! We will be back again and again!!!

I read all the reviews about Babalu’s Cuban Cafe, and was excited to try it! The rave about how good the food was, so I was finally going to try their food, I was excited to go out and have a great dinner! My husband and I went to Babalu’s for dinner. The atmosphere was nice. The waitress was very friendly and pleasant! My husband ordered the Cuban sandwich, he said it was good, but you would think for the price there would be real ham and some roast pork. Not so much. I ordered the Lo Oriental fried rice and shrimps! Wow really salty food! That’s exactly What I got! I was really expecting delicious food! What I got was a salty dish of fried rice and very salty shrimps drowned in soy sauce! Shrimps were overcooked and literally drowned in soy sauce, with a twist of onions, red peppers and green peppers! What I got was literally a giant headache. If you have high blood pressure don’t order the Lo Oriental fried rice and shrimps from the menu! I would have to go back and order something different if I want to make a proper evaluation of their food!

If you’re looking for authentic Cuban cuisine in the Jensen Beach area, look no further than Babalu’s Cuban Cuisine in Port St. Lucie. My wife and I were here on vacation, craving Cuban food but not wanting to make the trip all the way down to Miami. A quick Google search led me to Babalu’s—and it did not disappoint.
We started with bolitas de yuca con queso, tostones rellenos, and croquetas de jamón. All three appetizers were bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. For our mains, we went with two Cuban classics: masitas de cerdo and ropa vieja. The mojo sauce on the masitas was spot-on, the pork was seasoned beautifully, and the ropa vieja was tender and packed with rich, savory flavor.
If you’re in Jensen Beach or the surrounding area, Babalu’s should absolutely be on your list of restaurants to try.

Awesome place for Cuban food, a little pricey but is worth it. Loved the food and the service. This is a family owned restaurant. You can tell the passion this couple put into it. The cod fritters were my favorite

I wish they had better hours of operation. This place should be open everyday. The vaca frita!! Wow! Im from Miami and moved up here last year, and the vaca frita was better than most places in Miami. Everything here was spot on. Service was very good and personal. Prices are very good. It really surprised me that a Cuban place out of the Miami area was that good.

Fabulous food and service! You won’t go hungry here because the portions are plentiful. The staff are always so welcoming and accommodating. They make sure your meal is as you expected. I love it when the chef comes out to the tables and converses with the patrons. The desserts here, specifically the cheesecakes, are the best I ever had anywhere in my travels.

Had a reservation and walked right in at 4pm. The atmosphere was good. I had a very large party (16 people) so food took a little while to get to the table but it was absolutely worth it. Staff was attentive and had no problems with the food or service. I’m sure if you have a small party the food will be expedited. I would no skip on this location if you enjoy spanish food. My mother is not a fan of black beans and she loved them in this location and how they made them. Well worth the wait and experience.
