Yummy Indian street-side eats. We loved the Bahai dosa and double egg roll. The spicy chutney has a great kick.

They even opened late for us at 2pm. Thanks

Must try.

Babai Dosa really impressed us with their authentic flavors. The chutneys were excellent—fresh, well-balanced, and packed with taste. We ordered the karam punugulu, which were perfectly crispy and flavorful, the Nellore karam dosa with just the right level of spice, and the double egg roll, which was filling and delicious. Every item we tried was tasty and well-prepared. A great place for anyone craving authentic South Indian food with bold flavors. Definitely worth a visit!

A very delicious and nice place! I got the Babai Dosa and while I was waiting, they gave me a couple things similar to a Goli Baje! The only minor con was that the Dosa was a little bit oily. It was very delicious and I would definitely like to come back soon!

My experience at Seattle’s food truck continues to be disappointing. I would really want to give a better rating to this food truck run by elderly couple but I have to be objective about my experience.

The ponnugulu had hair, the Dahi Puri was a disaster – the curd had a bad taste and I almost felt pukish. The dosa was decent but it could have used a bit more salt. Their chutneys were really good though.

It’s true that coming to a south Indian food truck, it is stupidity to ask for Dahi Puri but why do you even have that in your menu ? There is no chat masala, no tamarind chutney.

Don’t expect hygiene at this place. It is very possible that my day was off and my experience was bad. But even on a good day probably this place can be 3.5 at best.

The masala ghee dosa was awesome.
Upma pesarattu was quite soggy. Probably because it was made with green daal.
The punugulu was disappointing – clearly they were pre made and they just heated it.

The chutneys were awesome – both the regular and the chilli chutney.

The elderly couple are very sweet! Helped us with the menu. The ambiance itself is minimalistic. Just a bunch of chairs and a single table in the open. Can’t imagine eating there in rainy winters.

But definitely going there for pure authentic masala dosa again!

This food truck has a simple, focused menu and serves up classic dosas with generous portions. There’s no seating area, so it’s more of a grab-and-go experience, and wait times can be a bit long—we waited about an hour. The food has a homemade quality that keeps you coming back. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu, and they do add quite a bit of ghee to each dosa, it adds a nice richness to the flavor. The taste can vary a little with each visit is what I experienced, which gives it that hand-prepared feel, though consistency could be improved. Overall, for the price, it’s a decent spot if you’re in the mood for dosa, but it could benefit from a bit more consistency on what they plate and slightly shorter wait times.

Decently priced dosa at a food truck.
We got their nellore masala dosa and chicken dosa.
The nellore dosa was nice and spicy but the chicken dosa was mediocre at best. The quantity of chicken was small and the podi made the chicken a little too salty for my liking . The dosa was fine with the peanut chutney and had some nice spice init.
The pani puri was meh with onion and ragada which were good but the puris were soft and we didn’t get the crispy bites .
They have some seating area but not too many .
Overall this is s decent place but nothing extraordinary which you can go to for takeout if you around the area

Food is amazing, perfectly spiced, ideal temperature. Service and hospitality very welcoming. Their 1953 Food Vessel is very unique.

Babai Dosa will delight you and cause you to want to visit again very soon.

Great energy, especially from the wise gentleman in the yellow shirt (see photos)

I loved it!

BABAI Dosa is a food truck that offers a nostalgic vibe, reminiscent of enjoying hot dosa in your car, just like in India. The service is quick, and we tried the ghee roast dosa, paneer dosa, and chicken dosa. The ghee roast dosa, although slightly thick, was a favorite with the kids. However, both the paneer and chicken dosas were overly spicy, and no spice level options were offered, likely assuming that being Indian, we could handle the heat. Only coconut chutney was served alongside the dosas.

The experience is unique and worth trying once, but the flavors might not suit everyone, especially those sensitive to spice. On the plus side, there’s ample parking available behind the house where the truck is stationed, making it convenient. Overall, it’s a one-time try for the vibe rather than the food.

They mainly serve dosa and have few varieties of dosas. I tried their chicken and podi dosa and both are average. The chicken one had a bit more flavor with the topping but the batter is not good so that reduced the overall taste of it. Both the dosa lacked oil, especially the podi dosa had a lot of dry powder as a topping and made it hard to eat without adequate oil or sambar to complement it. They do serve chutney with the dosa but caution for peanut allergens. This is how it is prepared in some parts of India but know that there are no alternate options or information posted about this for people with allergy conditions. The price is on the cheaper side compared to other places around the area.
