By far, it is one of my FAVE restaurants. Atmosphere, food, service- all around perfect.

Highly recommend their oysters, never tasted ANYTHING like them. Savory, sweet sauce- beyond succulent and will leave you craving for more. The specialty sushi rolls? Orgasmic! We have never had a sushi roll here that didn’t taste exquisite.

Food is a little pricey but worth every cent. We are forever customers and will be back for sure!

Such a fun experience! My daughter wanted hot pot and we had never tried it before. Waiter was amazing explaining how it works and ensuring we had everything we needed. Absolutely fantastic!
This has become our go to place when my husband and daughter want sushi. Quality is fantastic, drinks are delicious, and staff is always great! Definitely our fave sushi spot!

came here with high expectations since I’ve been here many times before and enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere… this time was utterly unpleasant. the dining room was infested with fruit flies that were flocking to our food and drinks. we were swatting away CLUSTERS of fruit flies… our server was unenthusiastic and disappeared frequently leaving us with no water/drink refills. had to ask two separate times to finally get my water topped off. the appetizers were fantastic which i have included pictures of! the crab rangoons were delicious and crispy and the mango sauce was to die for, the lion king sushi roll was also delectable. but the hot pot was borderline water… we ordered bone chicken and after waiting almost 35 minutes it had almost no flavor or even color to the broth. very disappointing. used to love this place… might come back in the winter when all the fruit flies die… atmosphere can only be described as dark and sticky..

Overall good experience, staff is always friendly. Sushi is always fresh. Always enjoy the oyster shooter, oyster on the half shell. The Sushi rolls were great. They had great UNI (Sea Urchin), There crab rangoons were great. The Steak and chicken was cooked great, great flavor. The veggies that with it was a miss for me. They were cold and you can tell they were previously in the freezer, it had the freezer taste. Waitress we had was super nice and attentive.

Visited for the first time on Valentine’s Day. The place was very busy and it took about 5 minutes to be seated. We were about 15 early for our reservation and were still at our table early. We were seated on the second floor in a back room. Pros… It was quiet. Con… It was very cold. Server was very attentive but busy on a holiday. Food was very good. Shumai was crispy and the sauce was excellent. Fried rice was good with a lot of different vegetables. I noticed mini corn, carrots, cauliflower, and asparagus. The maki rolls were very good. The only negative I would say is that the maki rolls were much smaller in diameter than other sushi places with similar prices and quality. Ultimately, we would go here again.

SUMMARY:
A pleasant mix of Asian cuisine comprising of gourmet Sushi and delicious Hot Pot. My wife and I are in love with the sushi from the Worcester MA location and we are also avid hot pot consumers so we decided to try the Sturbridge location and we were extremely satisfied with the entire experience. Our waiter Anthony along with the hostess both did a great job. What’s better than having both hot pot and sushi under 1 roof!

ATMOSPHERE:
The overall layout of the restaurant was beautiful. They had very nice decor and it was extremely spacious given the 2 floors. The outside had a beautifully lit entrance path. The lighting was set just right with its slight dim.
Feedback: I would highly recommend moving the location of where menus are kept, away from where people are waiting to be seated. A few waiters had to rush past us to either grab or return menus to the cabinet behind where we were standing, waiting to be seated.

FOOD:
We ordered the King Maki, Angel Maki, Yellowtail Nigiri, Shrimp Tempura Hand rolls, crab Rangoon, and ended with the Deluxe Hot Pot for 2 with basic broth. There isn’t much more to say except that everything tasted delicious! Baba Sushi is definitely a professional sushi establishment and the quality of hot pot ingredients met our expectations. Whether you want sushi or hot pot or both, you will be satisfied!

STAFF:
The hostess was such a kind young woman who made sure we were taken care of. We had a few minutes to wait but she kept making rounds in the hot pot seating area so that she would be able to seat us the moment a table opened up. She also helped out a bunch with bussing tables too! Anthony was our waiter and he was so kind. He was so very accommodating and timely with taking our order and making sure we had everything we needed. He made sure to place everything at our table very gently while also making sure we still had room to maneuver around the table. Anthony definitely helped in making our experience a great one!

Love the vibe, food, and service at Baba. Yes, its competitor just up the street is also very good and probably beats for the sushi purists, but I really do prefer Baba. It’s roomier, more low-key, and has some limited outdoor deck seating. Just be careful of the rusty wrought iron tables that need refinishing if you’re wearing shorts or a skirt. Note to mgmt: The deck could also use some ceiling fans to keep the mosquitos away. It’s a lovely place to dine; could be so much better with just a few small improvements! Hope Baba continues to do well in Fiskdale.

We have been coming to Baba for years for sushi and hot pot. The drinks are always tasty, there are usually some 90s jams playing gently in the background, and the food and sushi quality are exceptional. The servers are always great as well – Kelsie has taken good care of us every time she’s here and is always on point with the speed and service. A point of atmosphere because there’s a weird room upstairs and one of the parking attendants takes his job a bit too seriously at times. But it’s worth the trip!!

Our server Kailyn made our visit memorable. The food and specialty drinks were excellent. Thanks again to the girl with pink hair and glittery eyes! (Hope that management appreciates her as much as we did).

Excellent dinning experience. The Deluxe hot pot for 2 was more than enough food. The sushi spring roll was amazing. Unique and great flavor.
