KUDOs. Many varied menu selections. Subtle taste, neither too salty nor too sweet but very tasty. Spacious seating; this is a BUSY restaurant but you aren’t rubbing others’ elbows. Very fast delivery of food considering the restaurant was packed with diners as well as many waiting for take-out orders. Parking available in a small lot.
CHALLENGEs. No place to sit outside while waiting to enter (I anticipate there are often waiting lines).
HIGHLY recommended.

The reviews are right! Stopped in while traveling and was blown away. The Shrimp Pad Thai was authentic and flavorful, and the Lava Roll is a total standout. The owner served us herself and was so welcoming. It’s hard to believe they’ve only been open three months because the quality is top-tier. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful place to eat sushi and Thai food! These are the best crab Rangoons we’ve ever had! I’ve never seen crispy chicken pad Thai, and it did not disappoint! We also got the To The Moon roll, so tasty. I can’t wait to go back and try more!

We order from here few times a week on DD but decided to dine in for the first time and we’re really glad we did. Cute place inside. I had the crispy duck. We also ordered 2 sushi rolls, chicken satay, fresh rolls, ginger salad and for desert fried bananas and mango sticky rice. Everything was delicious and service was exceptional! Aumee was super sweet! We’ll definitely dine in more often!

My husband and I visited Baan Tawan Sushi and Thai yesterday after seeing a review on Find Me Gluten Free, and wow, we were so pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is nice inside, and the atmosphere feels welcoming right away. Our server was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely sweet, which made the whole experience even better. As someone who is gluten-free, I was very happy to see that they offer many gluten-free options, are knowledgeable about celiac needs, and are willing to make accommodations. I ordered the gluten-free Pad Thai, and it was absolutely delicious, the portion was very generous too! My husband ordered the spicy Pad Thai, and he loved it as well.
Our server mentioned that they’re a new restaurant in South Tampa, and honestly, they’re off to an amazing start. We definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be coming back!

I ordered for pick up last night, the quality and variety of sushi rolls was very good. Inside the restaurant was so cute, I do want to dine in next time. They just opened 3 months ago and I do wish them the best of luck!! Oh and the longbeach roll was buy one get one free for $13.99. My order was accurate, food was good, staff was friendly

I have celebrated my birthday there, and even though this place was as busy as it could only be, we had the most amazing time! Food was delicious! Sushi rolls were longer than we expected. And not only, wonderful ladies decorated a table considering it’s my birthday dinner, I also got complimentary slice of cake, which was amazing! thank you so very much for making my celebration even more special!

I came in right at the peak of the lunch rush, and despite how busy it was, I was seated immediately and my food arrived promptly, already a promising start.
I went with the lunch bento box, which is a great value because it showcases both the Thai and sushi sides of the menu. It also comes with a crisp side salad dressed in a classic ginger dressing: bright, slightly sweet, with that subtle zing of fresh ginger that wakes up the palate.. and a golden, crunchy spring roll.
For my Thai selection, I chose the Panang curry, and it was outstanding. The sauce had the hallmark richness of coconut milk, layered with the nutty depth and mild spice that make Penang such a comfort dish. The flavors were beautifully balanced: savory, slightly sweet, with a warm undertone of chili that lingered without overwhelming. The texture was silky and cohesive, perfect for spooning over the scoop of fluffy white rice that accompanied it.
On the sushi side, I ordered the spicy salmon roll, and it was excellent. The salmon was incredibly fresh.. clean, buttery, and tender.. with just the right amount of heat from the spicy sauce to accentuate the fish rather than cover it. You can tell they’re working with quality cuts here, which makes all the difference in sushi.
Service was another highlight. Amy, my server, struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and efficiency, making sure I always had what I needed without any delays. Sitting at the bar also gave me the chance to chat with the owner while he was preparing sushi, and it was clear he takes pride not just in the food but in creating a warm, welcoming experience.
The interior has been fully remodeled since the previous tenant in this space.. bright, clean, and inviting, with a fresh atmosphere that elevates the meal. While the exterior of the plaza itself could use some upkeep from the landlord, once you step inside, the quality of the restaurant is undeniable.
Overall, this is a true gem for Thai and sushi in South Tampa. From the authentic flavors of the Penang curry to the freshness of the sushi, everything was executed with care. Highly recommend the bento box for lunch if you want the best of both worlds.

Amazing place, great food with so many options and both Sushi and Thai menus. Service is quite outstanding. Cooked sushi is available too. Clean and vibrant restaurant to dine-in. Will come again, and highly recommend. Oh, not to mention, prices are very affordable and reasonable, and the number of sushi rolls per order is A LOT !!! We tried this spot for the first time tonight, and it was incredible! The appetizers were delicious and our main dishes were cooked to perfection. We’ve had a hard time finding a good Thai spot in Tampa, and this was 11/10. They have a cute aesthetic inside, and the service was amazing! We had the sweetest waitress, Ammie, (sorry if I spelled this wrong) and all of the staff were super friendly. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to try more on the menu! Highly recommend the egg rolls, gyoza, pad Thai & crispy chicken pineapple fried rice!!
