I had high hopes for this place but unfortunately it didn’t meet expectations. I had a tofu basil dish. It was very much 1 note and didn’t pack flavor like other thai dishes. I did appreciate the amount of tofu and veggies. I finished it but wasn’t satisfied. I should have driven to Mai Thai or Lotus Thai. I hate to say this but it kind of tasted like Dukes Pad Thai quality for a much higher price point. So sad to say this about a local family restaurant. The other dishes people had looked tasty though. I would give it another try if someone else was paying.

Great food.. Quality as wells as quantity of the food is good. This place is near to the main road. We have to park the vehicle on the road itself because parking space is less. Food is little expensive but tasty.. Staffs are friendly.. We can define this restaurant as a cozy place.. Drinks are also available if needed..

Fantastic experience! The food was perfectly balanced with spice and they had a modest but amazing menu. They also are one of those low key restaurants with an amazing bar! love the “random beer” option that they have so you can get a taste for their selection. Would highly recommend. May be the best Thai food in all of Columbia or even SC!

Small place so we had to wait a while to get in. But the food was great. Prices $20-25 so not to steep. They cook every thing to order which shows in the quality but makes for a long wait. Appetizers come out fast though. Staff was friendly and keeps you informed on timing. The curry was great duck cooked to perfection. If you don’t want spicy definitely get a 1 on the scale of 1 to 5. I got a 2 and there was definitely a kick.

Service was fabulous. Random Sparkling Rose option was spot on! We tried the three spiced duck and the seafood curry (with coconut milk) and both were delicious. The curry was my favorite for sure. We are already planning our return to try other great looking items on the menu.

A delightful small place with delicious food. Came here with a group of about a dozen people. Good thing well were there as they opened! Before we left there wasn’t a seat to be had. Several options to choose from. I didn’t see anything that did not look and smell amazing. Will certainly come back here when in the mood for Thai cuisine.

The food is good and the chef does a good job of creating imaginative dishes. Very nice atmosphere, great service and a good place to take a date. My issue with is price for quality of food. In my opinion the Chicken Pad Thai should be the most delicious dish on the menu and it was just ok–not worth the $17.

My boyfriend and I just went to Baan Sawan for date night. We could not be more happy about the food and atmosphere. It’s a very small restaurant. Nothing fancy about the decor but it’s in a cozy little house. I ordered the Tom Kha with chicken in coconut milk and Red Curry with chicken. My bf ordered the Yum Salad and Green Curry with veggies. All of it was cooked to perfection. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. I ordered my food at a spice level 2 and he ordered at a 4. We both got extra hots on the side (which are house made). It’s a bit pricier so it’s nice for date night. I’d rank this place over Basil. The food tastes homemade like it’s cooked by someone who knows thai food. Our service was excellent. They have a nice quiet bar area so I’d come back for just drinks too. We will definitely be coming back soon!

Our most favorite restaurant in town. Make sure to arrive early if you have a party more than four to ensure seating. My wife swears by the rice noodle dishes, whereas I always go for a curry dish. Eclectic beer selections are also a plus. Cheers!
