They know what they’re doing with layering of flavors and presentation. The reality is the you do not want to miss this experience! Cocktails on point as well
Our server that I asked his name about five times and I cannot remember was so warm-hearted and easy to talk to. His name started with an E and he was from Russia. If I ever remember. I’m going to update this so you can make sure to ask for him!
Shrimp N Grits – 7/10: small shrimp, grits we a bit gummy, sauce had a great taste.
Double rye drink special – 10/10: fab!
Jalapeño Bacon Burger – 7/10: cooked medium perfectly, bun was fresh. Flavors just didn’t pop.
Collards: 7/10 – cooked al’dente. Decent flavor
Drop Biscuits – very popular, but dry. Berry compote was nice. Tart and fresh.
No military discount offered.
Don’t forget to leave me a ❤️!

Very nice time with great food, drinks and service.
Open and hungry, I found my way to B. Matthew’s. As the door opened, Tammy—the hostess with the mostest—set the tone immediately, dressed in her Christmas red and brimming with holiday warmth.
Dining solo, I took a seat at the bar where AJ promptly greeted me, took my order, and delivered water without delay. Black coffee paired perfectly with the Fried Green Tomato Crab Cake Benny. The dish arrived quickly, cooked just right, and the Southern golden-brown biscuit proved a welcome—and delicious—alternative to the traditional English muffin.Dining with Dirk: Christmas Eve Edition

Came back into today. Tried the jalapeño burger with the onion rings. Soooo good. Its my new favorite. That chicken biscuit. The chicken was soo juicy.
Been here twice already in the past month. Nice vibe, quiet experience. French toast just melted in my mouth☺️☺️. Its on my favorite breakfast place list
Fun fact
1) It’s housed in a beautifully restored late 1700’s building that is said to have once been one of Savannah’s earliest taverns.
2) In the basement, there are stories of iron rings attached to the walls and a long-sealed tunnel that may have once led to the Savannah River.
