We will be back! Cute little place. Very chic minimalist. Best chocolate croissant I’ve ever had. Chai coconut cookie also had great flavor. The sourdough is super spongy with perfect exterior crust and so great with my olive oil. Keep it up!

Update. Must try vegan cherry almond oat cookie and lemon blueberry scone. Always the perfect amount of sweetness. I’m grateful we’re not walking distance. We would be here every day.

The best sourdough I’ve ever had by a long shot, this place has made me a bread snob. My only “critique” would be for them to bake more sourdough, because half the time I go in lately, they are out. I think that speaks to the quality and popularity more than anything though, and I am so happy to see this bakery thrive. I get a loaf almost weekly. All their pastries, sandwiches and coffee I’ve tried are also incredible.

Best bread in Ypsi by far, probably best bread I’ve ever had, and I’m so lucky they are close to me!

Found this place just by looking for a bakery on Google maps. Was nice to see that it was only a couple miles from my house.
They are fairly new and not much of an assortment but they had my favorite cookie, molasses.
They can really use the support, I know that I will be back.

Pic doesn’t do it justice & I always forget to take pics once they’re out of the box but this bakery is my go-to for hosting. They have such a cool variety, everything is delicious, they pack it with care AND everyone I’ve met there is so super friendly. Highly recommend and am planning on going more often than just for goodies for hosting 🙂

Best little bakery Ypsilanti, Mi. This place is a hidden gem . They make their own dough . It’s quite amazing . They have ham cheese sandwich that is to die for . If you are driving South of Detroit in the morning … please drop here and grab something. You will be glad you did . Not really a sit and eat … more of a grab and go bakery. They do have a few tables to sit at .
Coffee , scones, etc … check it

Loved everything about the place. The energy inside was great well lit and the aromas of fresh breads and coffee I really wish I could’ve stayed but I liked my coffee so much I doubled back to try another flavor and loved that one too. The chocolate danish was so flakey and buttery but once you got into it, it was soft and had sweet glaze on it that compliments the chocolate very well 10/10 experience.

B-Cubed Bakery is just delightful. The owner is so welcoming and takes the time to explain everything, which immediately makes you feel at home. My husband and I have been searching for a place where we could get fresh-made sourdough bread first thing in the morning—the kind that, when sliced and bagged, still lets out a wisp of steam. We first had that experience at a bakery in Tampa, Florida years ago, and although we’ve found good bread at Whole Foods, Fresh Thyme, and Trader Joe’s, nothing compares to a true local bakery.

And let me explain the bread. The sourdough has a taste that’s almost impossible to describe—it just melts in your mouth. The crust isn’t too hard or crispy; instead, it has this perfectly chewy texture that makes every bite feel complete. Honestly, it brought back childhood memories for me, the kind you can’t put a price on. I don’t even eat bread like that, but I ate way more slices than I needed to because it was just that good.

This bakery gives us that experience—and even more. Their sourdough is the best we’ve had anywhere: East Coast, Midwest, anywhere. We’ve tried so many loaves, searching for that Tampa memory, and this surpasses it. As someone with Caribbean roots, it even pulled me back to childhood memories of walking to the bakery, waiting in line, and savoring fresh bread. At B-Cubed, there was no line, the space was clean and uncluttered, and the selection was impressive—including vegan options that were genuinely tasty.

What makes B-Cubed stand out even more is their commitment to community. They don’t just bake bread—they partner with other local businesses. They serve and sell local coffee, which means every cup and every loaf helps build Ypsilanti’s economy. That extra dollar you spend here doesn’t vanish into a chain; it circulates right back into the community, strengthening the connections that make this place special. They also have a cozy indoor nook and a sweet outdoor seating area, making it easy to slow down, sip coffee, and enjoy fresh bread or pastries with a friend.

Yes, the location might feel unusual at first—it sits next to a big empty lot. But here’s the thing: that bakery lights up the area. And I hope, truly, that one day someone in our community invests in that space and builds affordable, mixed-income housing right next to it. Because that’s the kind of growth Ypsilanti deserves—growth that’s rooted in people and possibility.

If you’re looking for more than just bread—if you want good pastries, good coffee, warm conversation, and a sense of place—go to B-Cubed Bakery. It’s a gem that reminds you to slow down, enjoy what’s in front of you, and celebrate what our community is becoming.

This bakery does not disappoint! The displays are amazing, the coffee is fresh and delicious, and the baked goods are fantastic. The cinnamon rolls are fluffy and just the right amount of sweetness. The baguettes make the best crostini. My favorite baked good here is the chocolate croissant. It’s the best! If you’re in the neighborhood, make sure to stop by! You won’t regret it!

This off the beaten path bakery is such a cute and welcoming place! I got a latte, a sandwich, and a loaf of bread, all very tasty. It may be a little tucked away, but it’s definitely worth the visit.
