Heard about this spot on TikTok yesterday and my wife and I happen to be in the area today so we stopped by… So glad we did.
We had a 10 out of 10 experience.
The young lady on the register gave us great customer service. She was friendly and welcoming, and super helpful.
The owner was in the building. He was greeting customers coming out to the front checking on us great hospitality.
But the food…
They were busy and we still got our food with within 15 minutes. Everything was hot and fresh, but even more than that it was all delicious.
We live about 40 minutes away and we plan to be back regularly.

I really wanted to like this place. I went based upon the reviews. Influencers must be paid to provide positive feedback. This place is absolutely horrible. We ordered the chicken wing combo with macaroni and cheese, collard green and yams. We also ordered a whitening and chicken combo with green beans and cabbage. Every piece of chicken was covered in feathers. How lazy must the cook be to leave the chicken fully covered in feathers. Not just one or two pieces but covered in the long bristles. Secondly the chicken was soggy not from condensation but because it was not cooked long enough. It was not crispy like shown in others reviews or their website. Lastly the lack of seasoning on the chicken left a lot to be desired. The cabbage had the strangest taste. I can’t even guess what that was. It was absolutely disgusting. The macaroni and cheese was extra cheesy but had absolutely no flavor. The sweet potatoes were some of the worst I have ever tasted. The were semi hard and the only thing I could taste was an overload of cinnamon, so much so that I could not even force myself to swallow them. This food is not prepared with care, love or by someone who really knows soulfood. The cabbage had the same odd taste as the green beans. They only thing that was just okay were the collard greens. They weren’t good but just okay. We wasted $78.00 because we threw all of that garbage in the trash. This restaurant is all hype and no substance. I don’t know who is preparing the food but fish had so many bones my husband could not eat it. This restaurant is all hype and no substance. Do yourself a favor and skip it. Never again.

My husband and I wanted a Friday movie night dinner. I got the wing dinner with Mac and cheese and greens. The greens were so salty that it was like eating salt. I could not taste the greens. The Mac and cheese was pretty good. His catfish he says was overseas ones. Im all for supporting our businesses. Service was good however I wasn’t impressed with those salty greens. I visited B.B.U Kitchen in Bowie, MD on a Friday night and had an absolutely terrible experience from start to finish.
I ordered the 10-piece party wings, greens, and mac & cheese. When my food finally came out (after a long wait), I noticed immediately that my wings were all drums — no flats at all. I went back to the counter because this is not standard and has never been an issue at any other restaurant.
The cashier told me to wait and went to get a “superior.” When he came out, he never introduced himself, never said hello, and never acknowledged me as a customer. He just stood there with his hands in his pockets staring at me.
I explained calmly that I received all drums instead of the usual half-and-half that comes with a 10-piece order everywhere else. His response was, “What do you want me to do about it?”
I told him I wanted the flats that were supposed to come with my order and that he could take the drums back. He then told me they “don’t have any flats” and that “that’s how the store sold it to him, so that’s how I was going to have to take it.”
He flat-out refused a refund and instead offered me a discount to order something else. Why would I spend more money when I already paid for a meal I was unhappy with? He then pointed out that he was the owner and said he “was not about to lose money on this order.”
That statement alone says everything you need to know about how this business treats its customers.
Between the extremely long wait time, the incorrect order, the rude and dismissive attitude, and the refusal to make things right, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.
Do not support this business. They clearly do not care about customer satisfaction at all.

STAMP!! Their 3 Wings Entree ($14.99 with 3 whole wings drizzled with their signature Boss Sauce, mac n cheese, & greens). I’m siced that I got crispy, whole wings with a tangy sweet BOSS Sauce, with LIKE THAT well seasoned greens, & DELICIOUS mac!!

I ordered fried catfish, mac and cheese, and collard greens on DoorDash, but my order was wrong and poorly prepared. The catfish wasn’t properly fried it was extremely oily and I received the wrong sides. When I called the restaurant to explain, the man who answered didn’t apologize and simply told me to bring the food back so he could remake it.
When I arrived and showed him the food, he told me, “Oh, your food isn’t oily, that’s just collard green juice,” as if I couldn’t tell the difference Still no apology. He went to the back and brought me new food, but when I got to my car, I realized the collard greens were cold, meaning he had just given me the same ones back.
He was very passive, unapologetic, and made excuses instead of simply acknowledging the mistake and offering to make it right. The small light-skinned girl at the front, however, was very nice, respectful, and provided great customer service.
