I saw on TikTok all the good reviews about this place. I really wanted to try it and love it—but the food was mid at best.
Price & Presentation:
I got the food really fast in just about 8 minutes! Which was great! I ordered the “platter” which I thought was a lot of food for the price point but turned out to be just an overstuffed styrofoam to go plate. I spent over $43 on that plate so I was shocked that I only got a normal “to-go” plate in styrofoam. If I’m spending $40 on dinner pushed through a locker I expect the “to-go” presentation to be better since we’re already lacking the customer service interaction. Mine came with 3 fried “wings,” rice and peas, & collard greens, with a side of Mac (that was an extra $3.25 for the choice). Now I realize vegan food is more expensive but come on none of it was marketed as organic fare. $43 for one plate with a “meat” and 3 sides is a bit much.
Taste:
Now the fried “wings” were great! I’d def go back to get those again. The rice and peas were….good. Mac n Cheese….good. The greens…..let’s just say whoever cooked those couldn’t be from the south. They were just cooked. No real flavor and nothing to write home about.
Conclusion:
That styrofoam plate broke from the weight, and about $30 of that food ended up on the ground. Which made me pissed! Cause why would you try to put all of this in a styrofoam plate!! I only got to eat maybe 1/3 of it. And what I ate before it fell, I honestly could’ve made at home. In conclusion if you just want some food…..vegan is your priority and money ain’t a thang— it’s food. Because we all know shopping vegan is slim pickings. But for what I paid I could probably force myself to wait until I get home to make it myself if I want to really enjoy it. My overall experience was just ok. I’ll go back to get those wings again because I was truly impressed with the two I was able to eat. But PLEASE for the love of the souls of black folk can y’all please switch to another form of carry out plates?! Please and thank you.

I order the shrimp 6pc, rice and peas, collards, candied yams and strawberry pudding. I only got 4 shrimps, the rice has hard peppercorn no peas, collars ok but the yams was only sweet potatoes. The strawberry pudding was good. I’m very disappointed and wasted $40. Never again

I love the food here! I usually come once or twice a month but honestly I’d be here way more if it wasn’t so pricey. The vegan mac and cheese burger with the seasoned fries is my go-to.

I have been wanting to try this place for a really long time and now I have and will never be back. The fried mushrooms do taste good but that is the only thing that has any flavor. I ordered the wings with 2 sides, mac and cheese and collard plus it came with rice and peas. The wings were pretty small and only 4 per meal. The entire container was full of rice with about 5 peas in it, no salt or seasoning and very dry. The collard were completely flavorless as well as the mac and cheese. $26 for this and it was not good at all. I tried eating the rest a few days later but had to completely season everything myself which made me more mad so I have to leave a bad review. A complete let down and a total waste of money!

Please don’t order season fries because it will not be seasoned and it will be dry and prolly the crickle fries Kroger Brand…However the Mac n Cheese burger was extremely good. I forced my self to eat them dry fries and they had fried wastes from other foods mixed in I thought it was a piece of fried chicken but who knows !!!

Just ordered from here for the first time and the food was incredible. My household has one vegan, one vegetarian, and one omnivore and we were all amazed by both the flavors and the textures; it’s obvious that whoever came up with these recipes really cares about the food. We had the oyster mushroom wings, the meatloaf, the cheese steak, the mac n cheese, collards, peas and rice, and plantains and all were insanely good. We can’t believe this is all vegan and the delivery from the Decatur Food Hub was faster than the estimated time. We’ll be ordering again for sure!

I was excited to try this place out since I was visiting Atlanta from the DC area and DC lacks Jamaican vegan food. However, I was disappointed and probably will not be returning here next time I come to Atlanta. I was so excited to try the Voxtails, but they weren’t good at all and flavorless and didn’t have hardly any sauce on them as shown on the pictures. It didn’t remind me of real oxtails at all. Also, the collard greens and cabbage I ordered with it lacked any seasoning. The best item on my order was the rice and peas which had a decent amount of seasoning. My spouse also ordered the voxtail and chicken tenders and he also didn’t like none of his food either.

When I say this food is soul food it just does something to your soul, everything was good from the moctails, wings , the chikn sandwich can’t forget the yams and greeens 10/10 I can’t wait to try this again and I love how easy it is to order through the kiosk chefs kiss. The restaurant/ “decatur food hub”/ did not, honor :the buy one get one free/ promotion .We ordered the bowl :oxtails, mac, fries/which was very greasy tasteless,small portions/the extra side that we ordered was not included.The attendant told me to contact uber eats with my complaint, which we did but that was a waist of time, a waist of money.$38.00
