This was down home Southern cooking. The buffet line had 4 entrees from which to choose and 5 sides. We had hamburger steak and fried catfish. Both were delicious. The owner and staff were very welcoming and friendly. A wonderful alternative to fast food when traveling.

Is definitely the best place to eat within a 30 mile radius. This is a small place that may not seem like much but I have to say. It is some of the best food I’ve ever put in my mouth. I got the hamburger steak with red beans and rice,and some mixed peas. Had no idea a hamburger steak could taste better than a steak from these high end restaurants. This is the place to go. Homemade cakes as well.

My daughter and I visited here yesterday for the first time and we enjoyed ourselves. We walked in, had two ladies at the front to direct us to the buffet line and there was another lady to help us and explained everything on the menu. They all were very friendly and helpful, and let us know they were there if we needed anything. My daughter got a fish plate and I got a hamburger steak and gravy plate with sweet tea. The food was delicious, it was all good! Great job to the Country Platter family We will definitely be back!!

There is much to be said about southern hospitality. Upon entering B&A, all the ladies were beyond friendly. We were hoping to find coffee this morning. We were surprised that B&A only serves coffee ☕️ in the winter. However, we were encouraged to try the sweet tea .. & I’ve got to say, it was the best sweet tea I’ve ever had! Lovely people & wonderful outdoor seating!

First time here—and wow, what a hidden gem! This place serves up true home-cooked goodness that hits the spot. Every bite was hot, flavorful, and comforting—just like grandma’s kitchen (if grandma had a restaurant license). Portions? Massive. They definitely don’t hold back. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in. Your taste buds will thank you.

We are here after a service at the nearby Veterans Cemetery and it was exactly what we needed – comfort food served by caring people. The hamburger steak was delicious with rice and brown gravy. The black eyed peas were perfectly seasoned and the turnip greens were very good. The staff were welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of. Would definitely go back if I’m in the area again.

Immediately you are greeted with sweet smiles and hospitality.. ordering is easy and pleasant! The food though… oh my lorddddd YUM!!! I got the hamburger steak and gravy with rice, separate veggies, cornbread, and a sweet tea. That is the best damn food I’ve had! The hamburger steak and gravy is I swear unmatched!!! Everything is cooked perfect and seasoned perfect! If you haven’t had their food yet you are missing out!!! I took my tasting bites and had to stop to make sure I wrote a review on how phenomenal it is!
