This is definitely my favorite Japanese restaurant in Gardena. One of my favorite dishes, the beef teriyaki and tempura plate is made to perfection here. They ask you how you want your beef cooked, the shrimp tempura and veggies are always delicious, the rice is also so tasty on its own, i once ordered a second bowl of that yummy rice. Cold Sapporo on draft, just love it. I also like that there’s a nice parking lot to park, i hate street parking.

This wonderful find is literally a hole in the wall. Not for you if you are claustrophobic. Park in the back and go right when they open at 5pm. I hear lunches and weekends are very crowded, so get there early. The hallway is quite narrow.
The teriyaki ribeye steak gets the CROWN!! Juicy, tender, and super flavorful!! The teriyaki chicken is also very good, as is the chicken katsu curry. It’s pricey, as a bowl of rice is $5. The assortment of vegetables lacks variety for me.

One of my all-time favorite spots! I’ve been coming to this little Japanese hole-in-the-wall for over 10 years, and it never disappoints. We ordered the teriyaki steak combo with sashimi on the side — the steak was cooked perfectly, super tender, and the sauce was so flavorful and paired perfectly with the meat.

We also got the pork katsu and the Hamachi collar — both were amazing! The katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside, and the Hamachi collar was so tender and full of flavor.

I love sitting at the bar here — it’s such a fun vibe watching everyone cook right in front of you. Perfect spot to grab some sake, enjoy great food, and just relax. The staff is always so kind and friendly, and the service is always on point. Definitely one of those places that keeps you coming back!

Every so often you come across one of those restaurants, where you know the owners and general manager’s sole purpose is to send people home absolutely full and satisfied.

This is one of those places.
This hits the mark on Japanese soul food. The noodles good. The super good. The bowls and plate sizes are just insane. Have you ever eaten at a Japanese restaurant with a dinner plate? Was the size of a medium pizza?

The food was so tasty. Fact. I love this place so much that I came back two nights later. And the cool thing is they are open until 10:00. I rolled in after 9:00 on both times and I was able sit down immediately. The place is extremely cozy. Very casual and a very homely feel from the staff to welcome you in. I’m coming back… Again and again.

The food were really good and be careful their size. Comparing to most japanese restaurants, their food size is huge. We were over ordering.
They also have so many things on menu we wanna try

Place is super nice, feels like being in Japan. We went for the lunch special, place was packed and busy, every table taken but the food needed 10-15 mins to be prepared. We had the beef teriyaki and the lunch special which varies every day. Extremely tasty and massive portions. Great taste and fresh Japanese food !

My first visit to this neighborhood gem. The vibe is local and Japanese. It’s busy, you need to sign in, remain behind the curtain next to the bathrooms, and wait for a table. The four of us waited for 10 minutes for a table at lunchtime. If you are a vegetarian, your choices are limited. Try the Tempura, it’s great. The delicious Miso soup is made with bonito flakes. The fried chicken cutlet with pork chunk curry is very good. The omelette over rice with ketchup on top was a bit too sweet. The best deal was the special lunch bento box. A chicken cutlet, white rice, salad, miso soup, macaroni salad, and an omelette over fried rice with bits of crab and shrimp for seventeen bucks. Our waitress was very patient with our questions and attentive to our needs. My only quibble was the very weak tea, but I’ll be back!

Great experience with the food and atmosphere. Was able to be seated right away at a table for 2. Several larger groups were waiting a while. The menu is pretty large and made choosing difficult. I ended up with broiled black cod and tempura. The portion was crazy large with soup and salad included. I pry didn’t eat half the meal. Everything was cooked perfectly, fish was excellent but watch for the many bones. Tempura was perfect as well, crisp and not too oily.

Not a fancy atmosphere and presentation but Great food. They serve you a HUGE Portion so better to split a meal or go there hungry. Very at home old fashion Japanese flavor it is.
Pretty much everything tastes good. Female employees are very friendly. You may want to go right at the opening time or go there after the 1st crowd go home which is about 1-1.5 hr later.
Grilled fish – black cod miso is BEST. but all the other foods are great!

We were the third party in line waiting for 3 ppl seat. Waited for over 50 min standing outside and saw at least 8-10 groups of 2 ppl group headed in ahead of us. We did mention that we accepted counter sear and also our 3 can be seated separatly on the log. Still, even called the 4 ppl group in before us till we asked. We felt ignored and had very bad feeling before we could enjoy our meal. The dishes were good. Yet the wait line system was really poor managed. We sincerely want to support this local restaurant. Please, the owner or management should face this problem so the customers who wait in line could enter the store with joy.
