We stopped in for the 1st time 3 weeks ago to try it out and have been back every weekend since! They are starting new margarita specials on Sundays and they are all delicious! The female manager is so friendly, kind, sweet, and takes time to chat up all the guests!!!
But the food!!! The food is phenomenal!!! From the tacos, to the fajita nachos, to the ceviche, yuuuum!!! Great atmosphere and even better service!!!! Great place to toast a margarita on the patio!!!!

If you’re looking for a new spot for Mexican and an overall vibe this is the place! They recently changed ownership and I have had the chance to stop in a few times since it is super convenient here in Ballantyne! The space has had a major face-lift and the vibe is so cool – chill spot for lunch but at night feels like a Latin cocktail lounge with the dim lighting and awesome decor. The wicker covered overhead lights and Azul (blue) color behind the bar make it feel so warm and cozy.
My servers have all been really nice and very attentive. They made me feel at home. And the food is amazing… my favorites here are the Azul margarita (their namesake cocktail), the Chili Relleno, and the Pollo Campestre (pictured here). My only problem is I don’t have enough space for all the food I want to eat!

I believe this restaurant is recently under new management. I hadn’t been there under previous management so can’t compare the two. But I will say the food is all extremely good and the manager seems to welcome whatever feedback given from each customer. I am looking forward to seeing how this place will evolve over the coming months and will be back. The menu has updated and they also now have a taco Tuesday special for 3 tacos

We always eat at this restaurant, and today we decided to order takeout to enjoy at home. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. The dish arrived with mostly burnt onions and barely any meat or chicken. It was very expensive for what we received. After coming home tired and expecting a good meal, this was extremely frustrating. The service and quality for delivery should meet the same standard as dining in at the restaurant.

Super friendly & prompt service (chips, salsa, waters, cocktails on our table within about 5 minutes). Several people including the bartender helping to keep waters refilled & second drinks delivered. Aside from the pretty forgettable guac, food was delish especially chicken quesadilla, fish taco & birria taco. Nice authentic music playing overhead at a very appropriate volume. Perfectly dim lighting. A great find on our brief overnight stay!

In Ballantyne Village shopping area Charlotte, NC. 1st pic is Super Quesadilla with chicken, rice, guacamole and pico de gallo for $13.54 USD. 2nd pic is Lunch Carnitas with rice, beans, guacamole and pico de gallo for $15.64 USD. They also give you chips and salsa to start the meal. Very reasonable prices, service excellent, food was delicious and had huge portions. Recommend!

Azul recently reopened after a remodel and it looks amazing. The vibe is much more upscale now!! It’s perfect for date night or margaritas with the girls. The food was incredible and everything we tried was full of flavor.
Yumi, the manager, was so welcoming and made the experience even better. Great atmosphere, great service, and amazing food. We’ll definitely be back!

Wowwwww. This place is AMAZING. Their Mexican guac is absurd – grilled seasoned onions next to some ridiculous guac… combine the two and its like guac heaven I had their Mich Burrito (its Mich something I don’t know how to spell) – the thing was MASSIVE and PACKED with carnitas (they have a few options for meat. It had some insane white queso to smear it in…. my goodness this place is magic. Thank you for the amazing meal, I’m now ready for a food coma ↕️
