Stopped in for an afternoon coffee and it did not disappoint. The Cuban coffee hit the spot and the empanadas were so good. Service was super friendly, and the patio gives major summer vibes. Definitely coming back to check out the dinner menu!

OMG! Real, authentic Cuban food and not in Miami or Union City! I was having a cigar next door with some friends and they were like “Hey, you’re Cuban, let’s try the food next door.” Boy, was I glad they asked! The food was amazing! Everything tasted just like my Grandma’s food from Hialeah! Empanadas, Croquetas, Ropa Vieja, Masitas! All delicious! The service also excellent. If you are in the area and want Real Cuban Cuisine, you have to try this place. I will definitely be back. I would post a pic, but I ate everything so fast!

This is the hottest new Cuban restaurant in New Jersey. Just had an amazing oxtail dish. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. Have a cigar next door when you finish.

It was always going to be difficult for any Cuban restaurant to be better than Havana’s, but man – Azukita took the baton that Havana’s gave them and is running with it!
The Cuban Fried Rice with beef, chicken and shrimp is a standout on the menu. Maybe use a larger size shrimp and this dish will be a home run.
I’ll make sure to take photos next time, but honestly, Azukita was so good that the photos didn’t stand a chance for taking pictures. They even gave me a strawberry coconut flan with a kiss of rum that was incredible. I hope they continue to put great dishes for everyone that were as good as mine.

We were driving back from a farm day trip and decided to stop at Azukita for lunch. It’s a small spot with good food, decent prices, and good service. There are only a couple of tables inside and more outdoors. We ordered the Cuban sandwich with fries, garlic shrimp, roasted pork, sweet plantains, and avocado salad. It was all good and our server was very nice.

The food was delicious!! I got the ropa vieja and it was phenomenal. I’m someone who is very picky with their food, but this place honestly is really good. Everyone is super nice and give great suggestions if you’re stumped. The wait time is perfect and pricing too.

Yesterday I had lunch with my brother, Ralph, at Azukita con Cafe, 1st time. What a great experience. I had Palomilla steak, with white rice and black beans and my brother had the chicken steak. There was great attention to detail where other popular Cuban restaurants in this area are losing their touch. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Mr. Ortiz who made us feel at home and we enjoyed great conversation. Byob, and a great cigar lounge next door. I liked it so much, my wife and I will be going there on Saturday August 23rd. We are looking forward to trying the Oxtail and other items on the menu. Also, parking in the rear…..pull into the small alley that runs along the side of the cigar lounge, easy to miss, so take your time. Try out this cozy restaurant, you won’t regret it. To everyone at Azukita, my brother and I thank you for a great meal and afternoon. See you soon.
