Decided to try this Cuban Restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Great food, service and atmosphere. Our server Carolina took time to explained every dish and gave us great service. Food was delicious!

This spot is an absolute find! The food is fabulous, the cocktails are delicious, and the service is excellent. We were fortunate enough to have Carolina both times we’ve been here. She was knowledgeable of the menu, attentive to us, and genuinely cared about our experience. Their menu is an absolute win. Every item is authentic and delectable. We had the Masas. Simply divine And the roasted chicken. Juicy and tender. Oh and the pitcher of mojitos. Yum!!!! A must try for visitors and locals.

It’s such a beautiful & fun place. This is some of the best Cuban food in Charlotte. And the cherry on top is there Cortadito, which is the best for sure in Charlotte because I’m Cuban myself and I know what a real Cortadito is like and these people know how to do it!

We go to this restaurant often, the service is very good, the food also great. The dish I order more often is the Toston, is delicious, the combination of black beans, shrimp, toston and their special sauce is very tasty. I tried another dish, pollo guisado and I wasn’t impressed with it the chicken breast was tasteless by itself, only when I combined the meat with the sauce the taste will improve. I will come back also el cafe cortadito is strong and the right sweetness for me.

Azucar is hands down the best Cuban restaurant in the city of Charlotte! From the moment I walked in, the service was outstanding. The waiter who attended me was extremely attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better.
The food is truly authentic and full of flavor. I ordered the ropa vieja and the ham croquettes. what an amazing experience! Everything tasted fresh, perfectly seasoned, and just like real Cuban cuisine should.
Their lunch specials are also a great deal. Lunch is only $10 Monday through Friday, and trust me, it’s absolutely worth it for the portion sizes you get. They also always have drink specials, which makes it even better.
I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Cuban food in Charlotte. I will definitely be coming back!

Amazing Cuban food. The Vaca Frita was so amazing. The meat was so flavorful. I could have buried my head in the black beans they were so freaking delicious. The plantains were so yummy. And the Cuban coffee was amazing. The atmosphere is lovely. Very upbeat. Very colorful. And the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend this place it’s absolutely adorable inside. Went back for lunch and had the Tampa Cuban and Vaca Frita. Large lunch size portion.

My friends and I celebrated my birthday as well as my husband’s godson’s birthday. I called to reserve a table for a large party. We were placed in a great spot in the restaurant. The coconut flavor sangria was delicious. I appreciate the staff’s attention to serving desserts for the birthday people with sparkles, happy birthday songs and lots of clapping, it was extremely festive and made us feel wonderful. The food is always good and served steaming hot. So thank you to the amazing staff for your food and beverage recommendations, your attentiveness and kindness. We had a wonderful afternoon.

An absolute must visit, I was so happy to find this corner of Latin heaven, food is packed with so much flavor and color, cafecito, Cuban pastries, rabo encendido ohh man is so good,,, service is outstanding, music, cocktails and so much more. Lunch specials are incredible and affordable. I went , ate and had dinner to go, everything is so yummy , highly recommend it. Great environment!! A place for everyone to experience. We usually go to the Huntersville location and stumbled on the Ballantyne location. It was great that both locations are consistent with great food and service. We ordered a guava and cheese which was decent. I’ve had better being from Miami. We had the Cuban which was amazing. Also had the Mengano and mendigo, which were both great. One of the best Cuban restaurants in town. Great job and keep it up.
