My husband and I were married on September 11, 2025, at the Ashley Ridge by Wedgewood venue, an all-inclusive facility. As part of our package, we utilized Azucar Bakery for our wedding cake. The initial consultation and design process were seamless, and we communicated our desire for a semi-naked, three-tier cake with accompanying cupcakes. While we were highly satisfied with the flavors and the overall effort put into the cake, the final design did not fully align with our expectations. Specifically, the semi-naked aesthetic was not adequately achieved, with minimal exposed cake visible. Additionally, the cupcake arrangement did not meet our request for a mixed display, as the flavors were segregated. Overall, we rate the experience an 8/10. The owner’s service was exceptional; however, the visual execution of the cake did not fully reflect our vision.

While azucar makes wonderful cakes, their ordering process is such a deterrent. Perhaps that’s by design.
I had requested pricing for a cake almost two weeks ago and only received one message for a follow up question. When I responded, I did not receive a response back. While I understand everyone is very busy, customers are also busy and it makes planning for a party almost impossible. Thankfully I was able to find another vendor quickly, but the service is honestly unacceptable. If you don’t have capacity to take orders, just say that— don’t leave people hanging.

We got the birthday cake and cupcakes done for our daughter for 2 years and were pleasantly surprised with the results. One of my friend’s suggested the place when we moved to CO and I am glad she did recommended this place.

We received our wedding cake and cupcakes from Azucar and they were wonderful to work with! Easy process, accommodated many flavor requests, and absolutely beautiful- not to mention, so so tasty!! All of our cupcakes were gone by the end of the night. Great service!

My husband bought me a cake from here for my birthday last year and it was amazing so I knew I had to get my baby shower cake here as well. While they aren’t great at responding via email (I recommend going in person), they made my cake dream come true. I gave them a few inspiration pics, sent them an image which they printed for the cake and gave them creative freedom and it was even better than expected. It not only looked beautiful but it tasted delicious. We got the white cake with whipped cream and fruit filling, highly recommend! It was worth the custom price!

Did our cake tasting and selections for our wedding. The cakes were so good we almost forgot to get a picture. We enjoyed our experience, we were given a good amount of privacy to discuss our opinions. Then we received great consolation for our selection. Looking forward to seeing it all come to life on our big day.

We were so happy that we discovered Azucar Bakery for our wedding cake! It was fantastic! We tried another very well-known bakery in Denver before we tried the cakes here, and their cakes didn’t even come close to how amazing the cakes are at Azucar. You can call and order a sampler box to try multiple flavors. We went with a 3-tier cake with simple white frosting on the outside and then put a few pink roses on the cake. It was gorgeous! We chose the lemon-raspberry flavor for 2 of the tiers, and then chose the chocolate with chocolate mousse for the other tier. All of our guests loved this cake, and ate every piece of it! It was completely gone! We only got one bite of our cake during our wedding, so we ordered a small cake the week after our wedding so we could enjoy more of it! We plan to order one every year on our anniversary. Stop shopping around and go with Azucar for your wedding or other event, you will not regret it! Thank you!
