Aztecas Mexican Restaurant is a true hidden gem. From the outside you’d never guess how absolutely gorgeous it is inside. The dining room is spacious and beautiful, with a fountain at the center and acoustics that make the whole space feel calm and peaceful even when it’s busy. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious, and the service was on point from start to finish. They also have a large covered outdoor patio with big TVs, plus a well-stocked bar that adds to the experience. Everything about this place feels thoughtful and elevated. Hands down my new favorite restaurant in Gulfport.

What a great place is turned out to be. We had originally been trying to use a different restaurant tonight and they ended up having a 2-hour wait. So we ended up going over here on the advice of a friend and what a great thing it turned out to be. Everybody was super friendly polite and helpful inmate the experience of eating dinner just that much better. Really good Tex-Mex with a lot of selections great atmosphere and easy parking. There’s a little bit of construction they’re finishing up out front but it’s still easy to get into the place. I had steak fajitas and they were super good and plenty of food for a great value. The chips and salsa are really good and plentiful. Everybody enjoyed the food and we’re absolutely stuffed with to-go boxes. And again the price was more than fair for everything that you get. Incense they’re right off I-10 and 49 it’s super convenient.

Chips & salsa were good and fresh. Taco salad was too salty and the meat was cold. Enchiladas were good, rice & beans were pretty good as well. Service was really good and they did not charge us for the taco salad we did not eat. Overall was OK at best.

My first visit has turned me off for one simple reason. The carnitas was dried out and came in chunks. To me carnitas should be quite moist and shredded. It’s a real shame because the rest of my dinner was excellent.

I recently visited Aztecas to celebrate my friend’s birthday. It was a weekday and still the crowd in the restaurant was decent.
The service staff was really friendly and made us feel at home. We ordered appetizers along with a couple of beers and whiskey. We enjoyed the tacos served with it as well.
We ordered the Main Course and it was delivered as soon as we finished appetizers. The food tasted decent but I was expecting the hot sauce to be more spicy. A few dishes were up to mark however the other lacked a few things here and there. We ordered dessert after the Main Course and dessert was scrumptious. I loved their desserts.
Overall we had a great time here and my friend was happy with his birthday eve spent here.

The waitress was just adorable.
she was very patient with me being a dork asking her about the size price difference on every item that I purchased however she was able to answer and not for a second did she seem annoyed. It was a brief to go order but I’m glad I budgeted on the meal so I could tip better. The restaurant looks beautiful after the remodel too.
