Decent taco shop. Location is a sketch for sure but food is alright. Carne asada burritos pretty good. Carne asada fries is alright. Overall solid spot.

5 friggin stars, most definitely. It’s kind of expensive, so be ready to shell out some dollars. But the portions are huge. I got a breakfast burrito yesterday, with sausage. I ate half and saved the other half for later, which I don’t normally do as my appetite can be pretty big. That sucker was huge. I didn’t get any salsa with it; I usually do but, meh, skipped it…no big deal. Next time. I’m a green salsa kind of guy

The other thing is that I used to go to other burrito places that were trolley accessible but more in downtown. One specifically isn’t open very late, while Azteca more or less has normal hours. So, as they say, 85-90% of success is showing up. This is another big reason why Azteca gets my vote. They’ll be seeing a lot more of me when I’m in downtown.

So I personally wouldn’t have ever gone here because of the environment. It’s literally right off the park @ market stop on the MTS blue line trolley. So there’s people out front of it waiting for the trolley but also there’s sometimes people drinking but that’s due to the surrounding area, anyways so a co-worker takes me there and man was I surprised, I bought a California burrito for $12.50 which is a good price , especially good because it comes with both guacamole and sour cream. I’ve had California burritos from ALOT of places, and this place may not be the best, it’s up there on my list. Since my first trip 2 weeks ago, I’ve gone there 2 more times. If you’re craving a Cali burrito, try this place out. I haven’t tried anything else so I can’t say anything else about the other food.

I’m kind of bummed to even write this review and post this picture I should have left the tacos put together but I took them apart and as you can see that lettuce is old the cheese is nacho cheese not actual cheese and the fish is burnt their quality has gone way downhill..I usually get get take out ..this isn’t the first time I have gotten home , to see the food look awful n not what I ordered… I should probably take it back but you guys know as well as I do then I’m not going to get my money back and it’s going to be an argument and piss me off and I’m still going to walk away with nothing…I have watched the male cashier that works in the evening take advantage of people’s money …. This place used to be really good and after seeing that guy take advantage of someone who’s disadvantaged in math and keep the money …super bummed….

This meal was a tale of two tacos. The individual tacos we ordered were amazing, especially the shrimp taco. Topping it off with their salsa roja and salsa verde made it even better. The birria tacos, however, were basically the opposite and pretty disappointing. The overall dish just lacked any real flavor and was very dry, but I’m not sure if that was because it didn’t have any cheese or if the meat just turned out that way. Still a good spot to check out, but only for their normal tacos though.

This is a nice little ” hole in the wall ” Mexican restaurant that’s conveniently located near Park Blvd and Island Av. They have the usual menu you would expect from a casual taco/burrito spot. I recommend the Carnitas Burrito. Prices are slightly higher than most places.

Reasonably priced, good quality street tacos! No frills, simple charm little taqueria located right off the tram. Carne asada was moist and feeling, pollo asado was nice and flavorful. Come for the food, stay for the yum!

I keep missing out on shots of the food because I wolf it down so quick. I’ve been here twice. Had both pollo and carne asada burritos. Yum! The chips are authentic in house and the salsa in the squirt bottles are great too.
Just be nice and ask for the hot sauces. .
I’ll try to remember a photo of the food before I eat it.. but it hits the spot!

I recently had their Steak breakfast burrito with added beans. Delicious!

I recommend this place. Not to mention there is a sweetheart of a woman working the front which is always a plus.
