Great spot for made from scratch food. Tortillas are made just before your order. Great guisos; today was ribs in green sauce and chicharone. Both salsas added great flavor with green being my favorite. They will bring your food to you but you order at the counter.

Homemade tortillas both flour and corn made in front of you. The interior is classis Mexican restaurant. We made menudo and tacos. The meat in the menudo melts in your mouth. Takes me back to my youth.

Wanted to try this place for awhile. Finally got a chance to stop by. I got three tacos with flour. 2 fajita and 1 chicharron. The food was great especially the chicharron melt in your mouth texture and the fajitas were soft and seasoned well. There green sauce definitely has a kick to it. Service was awesome and quick.

Azteca Taco House is hands down one of the best taco spots in Houston! The tacos are delicious, authentic, and full of flavor. What really stood out to me were the tortillas—fresh, soft, and made right. On top of that, the prices are super affordable, especially compared to other places that overcharge for smaller portions. If you’re looking for real, quality tacos without breaking the bank, this is the place. Highly recommend!

I love the fresh tortillas. The meat was good, I tried the barbacoa, mole and carne guisada. The line was long but not too crazy. The ladies making tortillas and tacos could be nicer. The woman that made my tacos wasn’t friendly at all and barely gave me a smidgen of onion and cilantro atop my barbacoa taco. The younger girl who rang us up was kind and the other girl that sat us was attentive and sweet. The beans could use more flavor though and they honestly they really need a posted menu.

Some of the best authentic Mexican food around this area code. I give it 5 stars because the food is delicious, however some of the females serving the food could have better customer service. The 3 women I speak of 1) she has thick eyebrows and lots the makeup, 2) she’s an older thick woman who mostly serves and is always on her phone. Doesn’t even ask to see if you need anything else. 3) she is a thin younger woman with a pointy nose and black hair – very rude. However, what these 3 women have in common is, if that you are a man you have nothing to worry about because you will get great service! They are always flirting with the men and making faces and being rude to the women. Besides those 3, everyone else is friendly and greets you with a smile – always busy but very attentive. I have had great experiences when those women aren’t working, the other ladies and the food makeup for it 10 fold.

Little nervous coming here but the lady’s working the counter spoke perfect English- we’re very sweet & kind. Explained everything. The tacos were delicious- you can watch them make the fresh tortillas in front of you. Highly recommended them & definitely try the Mexican coffee – delicious treat

Great authentic taco place. Already been twice for lunch and have many more lunch trips planned for the future. Great food and great service. Everything I’ve had so far: barbacoa, costilla, chicharrón and guisado has been outstanding. Always get the Mexican Coca Cola too. Very filling with both corn and flour tortillas options made fresh. Just a great authentic hole in the wall.
The staff is very accommodating and helpful if you’re not sure what to get. They will answer any questions you have.
