We have eaten in a this place a while back, but this day we wanted take out. Ordering was easy. No mention on online menu or person taking order that they charge extra if using a credit card. Food was cold by the time we got home 2 miles away. Portion for lunch burrito was very close to kids burrito. Food was bland. Best part was the salsa that came with the chips. Probably not going back.

The food was superb. Fresh, flavorful, and the salsa they bring is smoky and mouthwatering. Azteca burrito was finished in a heartbeat. The agua fresca Jamaica could use more ice. But in the end, very much satisfied.

Fairly good neighborhood Mexican restaurant near Publix in Lake Wylie. Large selection of lunch specials. Pictured Photos are the $6.99 “Speedy Gonzales” lunch special of 1 ground beef taco (good); 1 enchilada of your choice (I chose chicken verde – just OK); and refried beans (excellent); the made-to-order Chilaquiles (outstanding!); & their chicken quesadilla (good!).Complimentary chips & salsa with any selection. Service is super friendly and efficient. Family friendly. Interior is on the small side. Decor is “old-ish” & could use a refresh. However, VERY pleasant, attractive, peaceful & CLEAN outside patio dining also available (see photo). Take-out available. Parking can be challenging.

Awesome place, great food and fair pricing. Restaurant could use a little update but the people and food are great. There is definitely something for everyone there and I have had several dishes on the menu and nothing has been bad. I see some of the reviews for them and I really don’t know what others are comparing it to but I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants and this is towards the top. Like I said, it could use some updating and renovations but some of the best food I have had has come from some “hole in the wall” places and I have frequented Mexican restaurants in New York, Chicago and even in Mexico to be honest (even food trucks). If you are looking for some fine dining place with soft music and pressed table cloths then this isn’t for you, but if you want really good food and not pay $100 per person…..then check them out.

I ordered the chicken taco salad and it was delicious – the chicken was seasoned perfectly and so tender. My son ordered a gigantic burrito with chicken, beef and shrimp – wonderful. Homemade chips and salsa.

The food is VERY expensive compared to what you get. My food came out ice cold. The waitress just went and microwaved it and it was so cooked it was dry. Definitely won’t be going back.

Solid mexican food. Good chips and salsa, and fresh good food. I got the Arroz con Pollo and it was different then others I had, but different in a good way. Tasted like it was fresh off the grill. I’d definitely return, even though it was pricey. The dish I got was $14.

Coming from someone who knows Spanish food and frequents at Mexican restaurants; this was by far the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. The food and guacamole was not anywhere near fresh the guacamole looked store bought (like from the supermarket, no tomatoes, onions or cilantro at the least) along with the chips, and entrees looked frozen. They served with ingredients that weren’t even on the menu. To top it all off one of our enchiladas just had the tortilla sitting at the bottom of the plate with the fillings just dumped on top. Mind you the ingredients weren’t even the same that were listed on the menu. I asked for a beef enchilada and got chicken that was disgusting and frozen for sure. The drinks were watered down and tasted like juice (I had the margarita) overall most disappointing experience at a Mexican restaurant we ended up leaving to go to another Mexican place called margaritas the was definitely better than anything they would be capable of achieving even if they wanted to try.
