Came here with a craving for grilled jalapenos and they delivered . They had great hot sauces, their gordita super crunchy and delicious.
Folks were really kind and portions were generous.
Paid for chips but it was nice and fresh with the guac
My one complaint is the birria soup was just ok .but gorditas beware, I’ll be back.

all the food was super yummy, boyf and i both loved the chips. the quesabirria was the best either of us have had. the sopes were also yummy. the melon juice was the perfect amount of sweetness we loved it

The BEST margaritas in Durham. Truly, the hibiscus marg rivals Kingfisher. All homemade ingredients, even the hibiscus syrup.
The pozole is AMAZING, especially at this time of year.
And it’s been around for almost 20 years, before the “revitalizing” of Durham, so it’s OG.

This is the cliche “hole in the wall” restaurant where the food will knock your socks off! So, so good!! The tortilla chips are freshly made, and so delicious. To top it all off, the staff are super friendly. Great place to eat authentic Mexican.

Really good food. You MUST try the gorditas. I had asada and pollo. Both delicious & made fresh. Also tried the barbacoa de rez and hibiscus drink. Dont leave without buying some candy to go. I recommend the cajeta and coconut.

Stopped in for a Friday night dinner after seeing them on the Best of Durham list and definitely lives up the hype! The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, and all of the staff was so kind.
The half off margs on Thursday and Friday were an added bonus.

My son and I made a quick day trip to Durham from Wilmington. While looking at restaurants close by on Google maps, Azteca Grille popped up. We were not disappointed! Everything on the menu is homemade in house! I got 3 tacos (pollo y pastor) and a bowl of refried beans, my son got a generous bowl of pozole that will probably feed him for two days The staff was so kind and inviting and the food was fantastic!
