My daughter suggested we join her at Azotea Cantina in Roswell this weekend, and we were all pleasantly surprised.

The food, service, and overall atmosphere were positive. Our server Keara was friendly, helpful and very attentive. She took time to answer all of our questions regarding the menu and made some good recommendations.

We started with the queso dip and blue corn chips. I enjoyed the Tacos Tres Amigos that comes with a shrimp, steak and chicken taco and a side of rice and black beans. All the food tasted fresh and flavorful.

While Mexican food would not always be my first choice, I definitely enjoyed Azotea Cantina. It’s a great addition to the Roswell area, and I encourage everyone to try it and help ensure its future success.

I would definitely consider returning the next time my daughter is in town.

Saludos

Ok, I really wanted this place to be good, and I did find somethings really great and a lot of things really just fell flat on its face. I am surprised by the drop off on food quality as well as bringing that real Mexican Authentic taste that this restaurant claims. Take it form someone that’s had real authentic Mexican cuisine and real Mexican food from the West Coast to El Paso Texas, Arizona and Mexico.

First,Big Mistake: We had a reservation on Valentine’s evening and arrived 10min before time. No one was at the hosting area and we waited there for and additional 10min. About to leave. Finally the buss boy took notice and starts to check us in. Ok, that’s a little strange, but whatever. Then the hostess comes out and I would think for a so called upscale restaurant, she would be the one to take over and seat us. NOOO, she had the Buss Boy, to take us to our and seat us. C’Mon that’s really bad service and lack of responsibility from the hostess. He wasn’t really that dirty but had some splatter and his attire was definitely back of the restaurant type of worker.

Second Mistake: The Menu’s given to us by the Buss Boy were damp, wet paper type of Menus. Not from the Buss Boy but from the Hostess who gave the Buss the Menu’s. This was really Tacky!! Just gross.
Requested another set of menus of course.

Just really a low grade experience, again for a restaurant that tauts upscale in a complex that’s has some great restaurants.

FOOD/DRINKS: Ordered the chips and salsa trio. That was on point and very good. The green sauce, pumpkin seed and thick red sauce were Awesome.
Drinks were very good, cudos to the Bartender!!!

I had the Taco Bistec Alambre. Ummmm, Epic fail, the steak was chewy, Not marinated or seasoned and the bacon had NO Taste. The only taste came from the sauce. Just tasted like blah. All three and the soft tortillas were just ordinary and cold. Not good at all, just a bland and bad food experience.

SERVICE: The waitress was good, but due to the Hostess’s laziness to personally escort us too our table with Clean Dry Paper menu’s, A two is very generous here.

ATMOSPHERE: Ok, this is were you have to be prepared for a little suspicious concern of, Who set up this restaurant. It felt this place was thrown up fast, the concrete, and I mean concrete floor was left that way to hurry up and open up this place. If you sat directly behind the Hostess, you have a 3 foot step, like a stage. Glad no one had a dress on smh. The tables are just plan cheap and the layout does not match the restaurant at all. It’s very bare bones with a little painting here or there. The tables were very low budget tables. The chairs are hard plastic or something. Just an weird vibe indeed.

There are better food options in this complex with definitely better food, service and overall quality.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND This Restaurant!!

Excellent experience overall! Great space, excellent food and friendly service.

We have been talking about checking out the new restaurants in this area and finally decided to pop in for an early dinner on a Sunday evening.

We were seated right away and our server covered our tables plus the outside bar area. It wasn’t busy so we had no issues or delays. The highlight of the evening was definitely the food. It’s not your traditional Tex-Mex and a small menu but they had several items I’d love to try. The tacos were perfection – tasty and fresh. The rice was fluffy and flavorful – delicious. The queso had mild green chilies and tasted wonderful. The green chips was a bit of a shock – but they blue corn and turn out this color after frying.

The food was absolutely fantastic. Just amazing. We came in at 815 on a Monday and were the only people there. We still got fantastic food and service. We were probably keeping them open but they treated us like family. Pretty sure our server was Angel, he took amazing care of us. Try the Baja fish tacos and their salsa has the most delightful smoky taste.

Great new addition to the Southern Post development in Roswell, serving fresh Mexican fare with an inventive twist. We chose to sit at the bar and appreciated the warm, friendly service. The space itself is airy and modern, with ample indoor and outdoor seating.

The food was fresh and full of flavor. I especially enjoyed the duck enchiladas, a limited-time summer special. The unexpected touch of sweetness worked surprisingly well, though I would’ve preferred the corn tortillas a bit softer. Still, it’s a dish worth trying.

When my Smoked Old Fashioned came out a little too sweet, the team remade it without hesitation – no questions asked. That kind of responsiveness goes a long way. Overall, a strong first impression. We’ll definitely be back!

Thanks to Keke for the amazing recommendations and personally mixed Lavender Princess cocktail. The portabella tacos were the best I had ever had. Guac was fresh and blue corn chips crispy. Definitely will return.

My friends and I recently visited a Mexican restaurant for lunch, and we had a fantastic experience. The place had a great ambience with plenty of seating, and we were warmly welcomed by our server. Special kudos to her for taking the time to explain the vegetarian options and for helping us choose our cocktails.

For food, we ordered the Cazuela de Vida, Pollo Frito, Bistec Alambre, and Red Fish. To drink, we enjoyed Margaritas, the Lavender Princess, and La Granada. The quality and quantity of both the food and drinks were impressive — we absolutely loved everything.

Overall, I’d highly recommend this spot, especially for taco lovers. It’s a great place to enjoy flavorful food and a relaxed dining experience.

Weeks ago I made a reservation for 20 people here for my birthday, calling last week to update the final # and confirm. On Saturday, there were light flurries in Roswell. The roads were perfectly fine that evening – not a bit of snow or ice. However, the restaurant closed without ever notifying me. I found out when my friend arrived at 6:55 for a 7 PM reservation to see a sign on the door and the lights off.

This caused obviously a big panic and very stressful start to my birthday because all of my friends were just arriving, and I had no place for a dinner. Luckily Bey Mediterranean came in for the rescue and was able to see us all to have a lovely dinner that night.

Note, I had just in case checked social media that day to ensure that they were open… They were posting random post about food that day, but nothing about being closed. On top of that, all of the other restaurants in Southern Post were open (and on Canton Street), so given that and the fact that the roads were fine there was no reason to believe that this restaurant would be closed that evening without notice. It’s now Tuesday, and nobody has ever reached out to me. That day someone was able to clearly post on social media, put a sign on the door, alert all their employees… but completely dismiss their reservations for the evening.

It’s really a wild way to run a new business, especially when with so much local competition. The place looked really cool but now me and my large group of friends have deservedly written it off.
