I’ll say food and service was great. Sides tasted good, AYCE price was quite fair for dinner, portions were not over the top, but just enough to handle with two people.
One of the pork options was too salty and got me having to drink lots of water after eating it. We were able to get most of the saltiness off thankfully. Rice paper wasn’t amazing, but typical for the price of the menu. Other than that everything tasted pretty good. They give you a lot of beef tongue which is quite nice for AYCE if you’re into that. Probably won’t return unless I have a friend wanting to go. Not really my spot in the area.
Last thing, their complimentary ice cream/sorbet was not good at all. I was so excited only to be let down. I think they make their own, so that’s something they can work on for sure, too.
Food: AYCE = All You Can Eat and all I want is protein via meat. The selection of meats at AYCE is wide and varied but we stuck to pork and beef. Garlic Beef was my surprise favorite but the spicy bulgogi was also competing for top spot. The sides were nice but you need to ask for kimchi and radish papers by request only. The meat selection I wasn’t a real fan of was the kimchi sausage and I didn’t get any chicken or seafood. The pork belly and spicy pork belly are awesome on the grill.
Service: Great service with constant water refills and we got 3 grill change outs. The entire staff helps out their colleges which makes for better service. Love the teamwork on display.
Ambiance: The tables are laid out nicely with good space in between. The restrooms were clean and serviced but they are high traffic so that makes for a constant upkeep task for staff. The real star is the pinball game assortment which is awesome fun while you wait and after you eat.
The kimchi wasn’t fresh, and the cucumbers tasted old with too much sauce and seasoning to cover it up. The supervisor did try to help and speed things up, but by then we were already tired and ready to leave. The ventilation was poor, the restaurant was smoky, and the air conditioning didn’t help, not a good environment for children.
If things improve, we might give it another chance. Otherwise, we don’t recommend it.
It wasn’t just a freebie either — the froyo was so good that we often bought a large container to take home on most visits. Ending the meal with it was part of what made this place feel special.
We’re not sure if the machine is down or if it’s been permanently removed, but we really hope it makes a comeback. It might seem small, but it made a big difference
