On a hill, with spectacular views of the surrounding area, this restaurant offers an interesting Peruvian inspired menu. We shared the El Clasico ceviche with halibut and mixed fried calamari to start. The ceviche was really good with fresh fish. The calamari not so good, bland and dry coating, although the squid and octopus inside was nicely cooked. The steak risotto was beautifully cooked and the rice was in a very tasty sauce. The Lomo Saltada was good, nice steak, onions and sauce. The fries were bland and not crispy, a bit disappointing. The Pescado A Lo Macho was excellent, a whole fish fried to perfection with yellow chill sauce. Service was great, attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is good as well with Peruvian decor. Get a table on the deck or by a window for the view. Recommended.

We had a nice large dinner group for several special occasions. My apologies for missing pictures of appetizers. We’re a hungry group. Recommend the veggie empanadas. Great drinks, pisco and tequila based etc. One of us got The Piranha in a piranha shaped mug
Dinners were incredible. I had SALMÓN CON CREMA DE PORO
pan seared salmon in homemade leek sauce served with veggies & potato.
Check pics for other dishes. Great view of ….Mt Diablo? Yup
Great attentive staff. Churro and Bombas for dessert. We all had a great time. Will return with partner in the future.

The Piscos are enough to forget about Margaritas from now to never. The Branzino is a perfect fish dish, according to mi amiga. I tripped out on the Risotto with Filet Mignon! Mmmm! The scallop appetizer was topped with cheese and greens.

Food was fantastic, service was fast and friendly, atmosphere was chic/elegant. Loved this place!
We ordered all appetizers: beef medallions, salmon salad, quiche, scallops, calamari, ceviche, chicken empanadas and then for dessert had the churros and chocolate volcano. All the food was excellent!
Highly recommend, will definitely go back!

This establishment exceeded my expectations. The stunning views from the hilltop, combined with the elegant decor and ambiance, created a truly memorable dining experience. The food was fresh and flavorful, with each dish showcasing the chef’s love and attention to detail. The generous serving sizes made it easy to share the delicious meals with my family. We had a fantastic time celebrating a birthday here, and I’m already looking forward to returning with my family in the near future.

Ayawaska Hilltop is by far my favorite Peruvian restaurant!
From the moment you walk in, the customer service is smooth, welcoming, and truly inviting. The servers are extremely friendly, attentive, and never let you wait too long-they’re always checking on you with a smile.
The space itself feels top-notch and exquisite, making every visit an experience.
As a Peruvian, I can honestly say this is the closest I’ve felt to being back home. Every plate takes me straight to my childhood the flavors are authentic, rich, and filled with the true taste of Peru. You don’t just eat here, you experience Peru in every bite.
If you’re looking for the real taste of Peru, this is the place I wholeheartedly recommend. Ayawaska Hilltop is a gem, and it has earned a special place in my heart (and my palate!).

On our travels we stopped for lunch in honor of Peru’s Idependence day. This restaurant was on its own little hill nicely located to look out onto hills sides and green scenic landscapes. Service was welcoming even though I was insecure of stepping in with traveling comfy clothes. I figured if there was a dress code we’d order To Go. The dishes had good portions and tasted delicious. We were so hungry we even got desserts and they were equally delicious. Overall great experience. My only wish would have been to listen to peruvian music too. They had soft rock in the back ground. Also where we sat by the window table 21 that area attracted flys and before the appetizers arrived my teen boys were knocking them out one by one. Hey it kept them busy and we had unconventional fun time go figure.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary here with our kids. Beautiful hilltop views. Festive cocktails with fun, smoky presentation. Try the Capitan, which comes in a treasure chest!
I had the Diablo which was spicy and delicious. Everything we ordered was really good: Lomo Soltado, empanadas, and for dessert the ice cream Bomba and caramel custard were amazing.
