Wife and I stepped out to celebrate our 11th Wedding Anniversary and decided to visit Ay Papi. Best decision ever. Music was amazing, drinks amazing and staff were fun and energetic! Great convo with bar tender and amazing celebratory shots were made just for us! We will be back very soon!

We came here on a Friday evening and it was pretty empty. That should have been the first red flag. Second red flag was when the servers convinced us to order a bottle of wine and then brought over a completely different red wine that was chilled for some reason. They explained they were out of the bottle they had originally pushed on us. The servers were also oddly intrusive, interrupting our groups conversation every few minutes to ask if we wanted to order anything else. The final straw was when they tacked on a 20% service charge without informing us. I only found out about the charge after I had already tipped and left the bar. Reputable bars and restaurants always inform the customer about the added gratuity beforehand. We were hoping for an elegant cocktail bar but Ay Papi is not that, nor is it a charming dive. It just felt disappointing and soulless. Will not be coming back to Ay Papi nor will I recommend it to others.

We ended up at Ay Papi late on a Friday night. I had passed by earlier in the night and felt vibes. It looked quiet from the outside and we entered we were transported to another dimension. Sounds of drinks being made, chatting, and a DJ set. We found some spots at the bar. The cocktails were excellent. We danced a little and everything was actually pretty magical.

Tasty and creative drinks. Decent service. Okay food. I just really didn’t feel great having to pay a 20% service charge, and then being asked to tip on top of that. Bummer that the close to $20 per cocktail we paid isn’t enough to pay their staff properly. I don’t think my wife and I will be back.

Ay Papi is all about the vibes! From the moment I walked in, it was very reminiscent of my time at Miami. The good side of Miami! You know, good drinks, well-dressed people, awesome music, dark and moody ambiance. I’m normally a dive bar kind of guy but I love coming here when I want to feel a little more fancy.
The drinks are all amazing too. My group ordered 4 different drinks and we ended up sharing our drinks because we all liked them so much. Kudos bartenders! If you’re a fan of mezcal and tequila get the Cinder & Smoke!

They sneak in a 20% service charge and don’t mention it. If you don’t pay attention you’ll be tipping on top of it, which is what I did. They also do too much with the “craft cocktails.” Takes ten minutes to make 4 tequila sodas because they measure out each shot and pour the soda out of individual bottles lol. Doin too much

Terrible service. Place was dead literally one table occupied and the pretentious guy at the bar w a cowboy boot tatt said “you have a reservation? If not it would help” um……we sat for 10 mins not one person came to the table. We left without trying anything.

We always go to Ay Papi and we have the best time every visit. The vibe is great, the drinks are amazing, and we especially appreciate Miguel he always takes care of us and makes the night even better. Highly recommend!
