I purchased the Super Nachos they were great the chips were fresh. The service was good the cook came out to check on me and asked about the food. I was pleased that they were very nice and attentive to their customers. Everyone was friendly and as a customer that is what I enjoyed the most. I’ve never been to a place where the cooks checked in on me about the food. See my plate below and the portion size was wonderful. I will definitely be returning for a second trip to try other items on the menu.

Food was okay. Free chips with salsa. Not bad not too outstanding. We arrived late dinner so there was just a far guests, but the food was served a little slow.
Tables were not cleaned after the previous customers. We cleaned it ourselves.

They are so nice and welcoming. The tacos are delicious with a handmade tortilla. Tacos have a lot of meat and very flavorful. Agua Fresca was delicious. Would come again!

Had a generous sized chicken asada chimichanga, fried burrito, $14 here in this San Mateo taqueria that just says Taqueria as their name, is actually called At Caray and it is next to the Mexican grocery Chavez near South Norfolk.

I just bought a Horchata today from this taqueria!!!! Mind you, the best horchata ever that almost taste like cinnamon and coconut milk together. They are not too sweet at all which i love!!!!! Because i dont like my horchata too sweet and too much sugar.
Best Horchata I’ve tried!!!! ❤️❤️

My family has been coming here for burritos and nachos since the late 90’s. I can tell ownership changed because the nachos that I’ve always loved are not the same anymore. Plus we ordered 3 burritos to take with us across the bay to Newark: one carne asada, one carnitas, one Al pastor. The burritos were labeled beef, chicken, and blank when they were actually carne asada, carnitas, and beef. I really wanted to try the pastor and was excited to get home and dig in just to find out they gave me beef instead. I was extremely disappointed and after all these years we most likely won’t be back. Ay Caray will just be a fond memory now.

First time back since ownership change, asked for a super al pastor burrito. “With everything?” Asked the cashier, yes everything that comes on a super burrito. Received a shrimp and carne asada burrito with tomatoes. I know I was one of the last customers of the night, but to just throw grill leftovers into my burrito in hopes that you can close before I can make it back is just a shameful business practice.
Dont tip before you get your food. Waste of $15 on burrito and another $3 on tip. Only to realize order was screwed.
