The food here is pretty good, price range is fair. I usually go for a bowl but I tried their tamales. The green chicken ones and cheese ones are really good. The cochinita one was a little dry and salty but still edible. This cart is definitely worth a try.

I was disappointed with the food I received. I ordered through DoorDash so maybe it would be better in person but the food was bland and my tacos were so greasy that the tortilla was falling apart so I had to eat them with a spoon. The “fresh” guacamole was a brownish color, and I know that can happen but it was mushy which makes me think it was old and stirred too many times as there were no chunks. The rice was okay but also not a lot of flavor. I could not recommend this restaurant and would advise to try another restaurant as you will likely be disappointed.

I enjoyed one of their Ay Caray bowls. Super fun. They have different protein options as well as vegetarian or vegan. Order was custom-made so it took a little bit longer, but worth the wait. Staff was super friendly and the food was fresh.

Sorry but I don’t recommend this place.

First, the lady taking orders had a “I don’t want to be here face”, not welcoming at all, and it was noon.

Second, we decided to try their $5 sample box. It was two baby one small bite sized tacos, Not worth the $5.
It lacks of flavor. Meat was hard, sauce tasted more like water. Not enjoyable.

Ah Caray! is a quality food cart that’s committed to excellence. The ingredients are fresh and the tacos don’t look slammed together. I had three: carnitas, beef birria and villamelon (asada steak). The clear winner was the villamelon. It had more flavor and great texture. UPDATE: I had the Villamelon again. I didn’t care for it this time. Being $4 each I figured they’d be a good size, but they’re very small. Price is the one drawback of Ah Caray! They are the most expensive tacos I’ve had from a truck. I’m thinking a burrito might be a better value. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars. -VanPort Insider✌

They always go out of their way to ensure you a good quality meal and they never get your order wrong. I go here once a week for dinner and i’m obsessed with it. Plus, the owner, Christian, is a very nice man who will even check in on you if you end up eating there to ensure that you are satisfied with your food.

These tacos absolutely blew us away. We got two birria, one chicken, and one villamelon. We both commented how good they were as soon as we started eating. They were seasoned well and so good that I instantly regretted not ordering four or five.

The birria was our favorite. My wife said the chicken was very good. I really loved the villamelon as well. It had a great crispy texture. I told my wife, next time we come to the area, I’m getting like five of those tacos.

The workers were very kind and the service was fast. Cannot wait to get more already!

Disappointed. This place could be so much better if they just seasoned their food properly. A little salt would go a long way. My tacos majorly lacked flavor. Honestly the chips and guacamole were the only things I enjoyed. Considering how small the tacos are for the price you really need to get those flavors dialed in. Also with another Mexican food cart and the popular Birrieria PDX cart coming soon they are going to need to step up their game.

We went with the Birria fries and visited on 2/22/25 the food was lacking flavor BAD and the food at bottom of this dish was soaking wet from some liquid and made everything super soggy? I encouraged my fiance to go back and mention his food but he ended up just tossing it and we went somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. When I tell you there was a puddle of liquid in the fries & I’m not sure how because there was little to no flavor. We were both kind of shocked.. (I wish I would have taken a photo to show how soggy and wet they were after just a couple bites) I share food and reviews on social media for work & I decided to just skip taking my time to make a video and leave a review here for anyone else to be aware of. Would not recommend sadly. which is such a bummer because we love the location and their menu sounds so good. I hope they can take feedback and improve!
