Established in 2017, Awash Ethiopian Restaurant has been serving our community and visitors with excellence. At Awash, we serve exquisite signature Ethiopian cuisine with tasty Ethiopian coffee. In keeping with ancient traditions of Central and Western Ethiopia, our food is prepared with homemade spices, served in traditional galleries filled with beautiful artifacts. Awash Ethiopian Restaurant caters locally for small groups and large banquets in house and at cutomer’s preferred location. Grains such as millet, wheat and particularly teff, a tiny round grain that flourishes in the highlands of Ethiopia, are prominent parts of the Ethiopian diet.

Went on an Oilers game night and although it was empty, the atmosphere was uncluttered and inviting. Waitress made sure we were comfortable and the food was delicious as it was something we had never tried before!

This is my current favorite Ethiopian restaurant. The food is magnificent. The service can be a bit slow, but they are very friendly and helpful. Worth it for the amazing flavours.

Very good food and very good, friendly service. Food arrived very quickly. Great value as well, very generous portions. Go when you are hungry, and be prepared to have leftovers. My wife and I made the mistake of going on a mostly full stomach for our anniversary, after a day of exploring restaurants.

They give homemade bread and a dipping sauce while we waited for our meal. The meal came out quickly and was delicious. We ordered the Veggie combo with beef Tibs (spicy) with spice tea, and traditional coffee (served from traditional clay pot).
