This review is for the RI location. I love Awake, I’ve been going there since it opened and I’ll still be going there. But over the last several months service has gotten extremely slow. If you’re the third car in line expect to wait about 10-15 minutes. The staff seem to treat their jobs as more of a social circle. There were several times the girl stopped in the middle of making my drink to talk to her coworkers. She was also the only one making drinks, but there were two other girls working and I know at least one of them was on the clock as she briefly assisted in making one drink. They’re more focused on yapping with each other than their jobs. I think if they had someone there to get them to focus, a supervisor/manager to keep them on task, things would be fine. As it stands though they are actively loosing business as I’ve watched cars pull out of the drive through line because it’s taken so ridiculously long. I wish nothing but the best for Awake and its current staff, but something needs to change because it can’t stay like this.

Saw this place on my way to work and decided to stop in. The staff was really nice. Cute, modern indoor seating. My Dirty Chai was really good, but apparently they’re known for their energy drinks. Will try those next time. Looks like a good place to get some work done or have a meeting;

Our first visit to Awake Coffee in Davenport was flawless. With a 10/10 rating, the service was exceptional, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The menu catered to all tastes, including my picky eater on the spectrum who loved the Strawberry Banana Smoothie and the Bacon, Sausage, and Egg Biscuit. The availability of breakfast sandwiches all day was a highlight. Awake Coffee exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it for a memorable dining experience.

My go to is always just a plain oat milk latte and me and my kiddos split one of their fruity pebble treats! Yum! My oldest loves their hot turkey and cheese Sammy! Two summers ago we did a coffee shop tour of the QC and this is their favorite spot for energy drinks!

I’m currently waiting inside the shop for my food and I’m overheating a conversation between a few employees. The topic is about slavery and to be frank, it is the most disgusting uneducated take on it as a whole. It is filled with racist remarks and how the slaves apparently “chose” to be enslaved. I’m truly disgusted by this behavior.

I usually love to stop by here to grab a coffee or drink while I’m in town, but I’m severely disappointed in the behavior of the employees working here. Loudly cursing and talking about highly divisive political topics in earshot of customers is a great way to make people uncomfortable and not want to come back.

I have visited this small business multiple times on my way to church and to work. Their food is top tier. I have only used the drive thru do to convenience and efficiency. I usually get a food or pastry item in addition to a hot beverage. Today, I brought my mother with me on the way to church. We ordered a Bacon, Sausage, Egg, & Cheese Biscuit, a Spinach, Egg, and Provolone English Muffin in addition to a spiced chai and latte. The only issue was that the spinach sandwich had a slice or two of deli meat and this is not mentioned on the menu. I have no issue with eating meat, but this was a pleasant surprise, especially for having vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. I hope to continue to support this business and that they have accuracy on their menu with the food that they serve to their customers.

I have never had this issue before..today I used my card and was charged $8.32 for 2 energy drinks. I tipped $2 in cash and an hour later got a notification that my card authorized a 20% tip. I realize it isnt much, but it’s the principle. Hope that $1.60 that was stolen was worth losing a repetitive customer.
