We used to go to one in Cali when I was a kid, something that my dad always did whenever I had a dentist appointment.
I’d go by this one all the time but they’d always be closed, always disappointing. Finally made it when they were open, conveniently a few days after my dad’s bday.
Stopped in and enjoyed a few of his favorite items on his behalf. I do miss the frosty mugs but it was worth the trip.

Not bad quantity. Price is a bit high. Rootbeer is amazing. Food a bit over salted.

Great burgers, good chili dogs.
Best root beer around. This place makes it’s own. Very creamy.
This location is old style A&W, not the new ones owned by PepsiCo. Much better food at this one and homemade root beer. New ones not as good and they don’t make their own root beer.
Excellent service.
Dine in or drive thru.
Shakes, floats.
Clean dining room.
Worth the drive
You have a great A&W and an excellent staff!!

Absolutely love a&w, if not just for the food, The Nostalgia itself means everything to me. Not sure what year this one opened up, but it was definitely a long time ago. Had the seafood platter with shrimp Cod and coleslaw today. It was definitely better than Popeyes. Restaurant always clean and well maintained. The staff is always friendly and hospitable. Especially enjoy the fact that they have not eliminated a person to take your order instead of a machine that takes you 20 minutes to figure out LOL way to go a&w, keep up the good work

This place was great. Especially for a place like Southern Nevada.

The Frosted A&W Root Beer Mugs were refreshing on the hot day I went. If you’ve been missing the Mushroom and Swiss Burger from McDonald’s, this place will fill your craving for a proper one. Same thing with the Milkshakes easily.

If anything, the seats were kinda tight and ask at the counter for refills. Otherwise? I really want more A&Ws back in Southern Nevada. Really recommend.

I’ve been going here for over 35+ years! I love visiting when I come to Boulder City and always bring my family. Everyone’s had nothing but great things to say about it. It’s definitely our go-to spot in Boulder for food!

Why we love it: Aside from the nostalgic old fashion diner ambiance” their Food is made fresh upon order ( be patient) ..the chicken tenders are REAL not your Mcmush nuggets..fish/ shrimp baskets are pretty pub quality all the burgers we ordered were filling and full of flavor, not to mention their giant real onion rings and yummy thin crispy French fries with a side of their signature AW rootbeer floats in their ice cold mugs!!! Definitely a great stop if you’re visiting the Hoover Dam or Hemmingway RAM park♡♡♡♡♡
Oh and don’t forget the cheesecurds!

Very excited to see an old A&W still around. Brought back memories of my dad taking us for floats in a frosty mug and bringing home jugs of root beer. The root beer float was delicious. Too bad it wasn’t a frosty mug anymore but it was cold. But the most important thing was there – the root beer, the glass jugs and the memories. It was worth a stop.

I came here 2 weeks ago after the Boulder City Car Show. I made sure I came early because the last few times I came during any event in Boulder City , they are always out of the Frosty Mugs and what good is a Root Beer Float without a Cold Frosty Mug. Of course the parking lot is a nightmare during these times , but I got lucky and there were 2 spots open when I pulled in. Of course the dining room was full , but a couple got up just as I got my Float. You put your number on the table and they bring out your food to you.

I’ve come here several times over the years , many with my son when he was younger , and the food has never been anything special and has gone downhill over the years. I got a Chili Dog and Onion Rings with my Float. The Chili Dog was one of the worst I’ve ever had. I’ve had them in the past and they were okay , but not today. The Onion Rings tasted like the cheap ones you buy at the grocery store , not good or fresh tasting , just bland. Also as soon as I put my straw in the float it started overflowing faster than I could drink making a mess on the table. I guess I broke the seal of the ice cream and there was too much root beer and the ice cream started to sink pushing up the drink. I had to get a stack of napkins to clean it up. After I finished mine i did get a Free Refill of the Root Beer.

I love the old decor , the mural on the wall , the giant bear you and the kids can take pictures with. It just reminds me of when I was growing up in a small town in South Carolina. I really only stop here for the Root Beer Float because the quality of the food , even the hamburgers are just not as good as they used to be.

Always grab the curds and a float on my way back to Vegas. Decided to eat in. What a surprise. The place was super clean and all the staff was great. Very retro and plenty of people from all over the US visiting.
