As a professional driver, I have to say that this was worth the logistical nightmare of trying to find a parking spot to go inside (( I drive a Kenworth)).. Hands down, this is how chili dogs were meant to taste.. Crisp, fresh, and hot off the grill.. With a sense of nostalgia that takes you back to when you actually could associate good food with great memories as they’re being made.. That 1st sip out of a frosty mug?.. #Fatkid heaven .. Soo.. If anyone ever comes out that way,.. Just know that this is the best example for you younguns,.. Of what a Sunday drive in an old school muscle car TASTES like..

This place is an absolute treasure of nostalgia!! The restaurant has a style all it’s own set in an era gone by. The draft mugs for your root beer are simply amazing. The food is always good the curds are always cheesy and the service is first-class. This place is worth the veer off I-70 into Boonville.

Always very enjoyable to visit here! There’s something about getting a frozen mug of fresh root beer, that’s just downright nostalgic! The food is always fresh, & hot! The staff is always friendly, & I love sitting next to the fire! I only got a root beer, & cheese curds during this visit…but, it was all good!

The food was hot, the floats were cold and tasty. Atmosphere was a blast from the past, loved the classic restaurant compared to the newer style. Only thing missing was the old school uniform or hats. Great experience to share from my childhood with my kids.

This place is an Boonville MO icon for a reason. This is the way an old school fast food restaurant is supposed to be done. Amazing food, amazing service and absolutely amazing atmosphere. I give it 5 stars only cause I can’t give it more. If you’re ever in the area there’s no excuse not to stop by and experience this iconic restaurant.

The place is off the highway a couple of miles. Worth the trip compared to Wendy’s if you ask me. It’s an old school building and interior. A blast from the past. Food service was quick. There is a big fireplace burning inside with some cool memorabilia on the walls. The bathrooms could use updating otherwise this is 5 stars. The kids liked their food also. Great staff no complaints.

This is a classic A&W location. The food is great and the fresh root beer is unbeatable. We were surprised at how good the chicken tenders were. All in all, we were happy to stop while looking for a place to eat from I-70. It is laid-back, clean, and delicious–probably the break from driving you need.
