I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent visit to your A&W location today at approximately 11:00 a.m. This was my first time dining at A&W, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing overall.
Upon arrival, I explained to the manager that it was our first visit. Instead of being welcoming or helpful, the manager was snippy and impatient, which immediately set a negative tone.
The cleanliness of the restaurant was also a major concern. Several tables and the floor were dirty, there were visible handprints on the windows, and the seats had what appeared to be ice cream residue on them. The restroom was also messy, and the trash was completely full.
There were approximately six employees behind the counter at the time. One employee was leaning on the counter, and another was actively on his phone. Given the condition of the dining area and restroom, it was clear that cleanliness was not being prioritized.
We ordered chicken tenders and fries, and both tasted undercooked, which only added to our disappointment.
I do want to note one positive interaction during our visit. An employee named Kem kindly offered to take our tray and told us to have a great day. That small gesture of courtesy stood out and was appreciated.
Overall, however, the employees appeared disengaged and unconcerned with cleanliness or customer service. As a first-time customer, this experience left a very poor impression.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve staff training, cleanliness standards, and customer service going forward.

Absolutely filthy! Stopped in to grab a bite, and so glad I did (as opposed to the drive through)! Nobody at counter, tried to find their new fish sandwich they had advertised on sign, but not on the menu screen… Decided to wash my hands, first, since no one was at counter… Washroom looked like it came out of a 1980’s horror film abandoned gas station set! Toilet hadn’t been flushed, or cleaned in only God knows how long. Original looked like a crime scene. As I was leaving, headed back to front of restaurant, noticed young man (presumably a cook) refilling his soda, before returning to kitchen through back door. His fingernails were long and dirty. There was still no one at the counter, which was just as well, I wasn’t going to order anything, after seeing all this.

Sunday evening, we stopped with the little dude for food. The workers are friendly. That’s the best thing I can say. The food was not very good, burgers thrown together haphazardly. My son’s fries were cold and didn’t seem to be fully cooked. My chili cheese fries were questionable. The fries tasted like they’d thawed and been refrozen before being dropped in the fryer. The chili on top of the fries was less than palatable “gas station” chili for lack of a better term. Probably won’t be going back, which is sad. Visited other locations as a kid, they’re different now.

I love A&W restaurants but I can’t order online and that’s silly for a franchise like this. I’m probably not coming back, not because it was bad but this convenient fast food place is not convenient or fast.

Absolutely disgusting food, the bacon was so gross it looked like it had been sitting out for a week and it was slimy and disgusting. Fries were cold and the I couldn’t even finish the burger. I hope that AI takes over so I can get a good meal every once in awhile. I’ve had a couple fast food jobs when I was younger, it’s not that hard. Everyone in Arnold, MO needs to make a trip down to Bonne Terre and visit the Dairy Queen and get some lessons from John because every single one of these fast food restaurants are disgusting.

Decided to go here on day two, right at the end of the lunch rush. Only took a few minutes to order at the counter, and waited only a few minutes for a table to open up. They probably could add a table or two, but I really like the outdoor seating. I was given a iced cold mug to put the root beer in. Let me tell you, it makes it taste so much better!.
Once seated we only waited maybe 5 minutes for our order. I must admit I have never had a burger from A&W (I usually just order their corn dog nuggets). My double bacon cheese burger was super fresh from the meat to the toppings.
Our entire order was correct, which I was not sure to expect with a new restaurant. The only issue I had was the corn dog nuggets were luke-warm. My guess is that they were not made fresh and maybe just have them ready for orders to speed things up. My family will be back!

5pm on Sunday Dec. 14th 2025, prime dinner time, next to no one in the dining area and no one in the drive-thru and it’s no wonder. Waited in the drive-thru for my order to be taken, no acknowledgement. I then drove to the window to see if I could get someones attention. There is a lady there just looking at her phone. I waited a minute and decided to move on. Ridiculous. We went here when it first opened and wow has it clearly gone south.

Stood at the counter with no one acknowledging my presence. Heard, “Jey Riley we have people up front,” and still waited around for someone to take our order. Dining room was very dirty, totally outbof napkins. Service was friendly once we were served. Food was hot n made fresh but not to menu specifications – mussingvketchup, mustard, pickle. Just meat and cheese. I worked in food for about 20 years so I get how there are good and bad days, but always remember that consistency is the goal, so if either stay like this or maybe have a team meeting and redress the operations expectations. Came in about 7:30 for dinner with the kid. Got two Papa burgers, fries, and a root beer float. The food was less than palatable, the float was a sloppy mess with very little ice cream, fries cold, burgers were tasteless and bland. The one thing I can say is, the staff was very friendly, very nice to us. We left hungry tho..
