$25 worth of food. Haven’t had A&W in 15+years because it wasn’t good.
Decided to give it a try at a newer one in the area. Set up is basically order with card at kiosk; clean bathrooms and dining room; really nice bathroom handles on the door to note.
Food was bad though, too much slop on the burger: swiss and bacon double burger, pepsi float, fries (fries good, better than mcds and bk and wendys) cheese curds and onion rings not good.
Kinda feel the recipe or ingredients need to change to compete. Papa sauce is just thousand island dressing with chive and dill in it.

We had good food and fast service. The four star rating on service was due to the dining area being completely empty, what looked to be plenty of staff working behind the counter but,all tables were dirty!!! Some were just a mess, others hadn’t been wiped down and were dirty and greasy. This is a nice location and a nice place. I recommend the management team speak to employees about housekeeping and keeping the tables in the dining area clean. A clean dining area is important to guest and for an excellent overall experience.

I ordered a double cheeseburger plain, extra cheese, side of a cheese curd and a regular strawberry shake (combo). The price was reasonable at 17$ and tasted pretty good. Unfortunately there was no cherry that came with the shake like promised. The indoor eating was absolutely beautiful with decorations everywhere. If you are an introvert, this is a good place for you because there is little to no human interaction with a touch screen order system. If you order to dine in there is a speaker system to let you know your number is ready. (My camera is broken so photos aren’t great sorry)

I got the #1 Double burger. Bun was soft, cheese was melted, veggies were pretty fr3sh and crisp but my god it was the most bland burger I’ve ever had. Absolutely no flavor to the meat. Not even a pinch of alt on the patties. If they are supposed to be seasoned then the person cooking my burger forgot to put it on. This was 8:40pm on 2/6/26

This was our first time at A & W and we went through drive thru. We modify some of our meals for our kids and they got all of the food correct (typically at other fast food places our meals are messed up somehow). The gal saw that we had a puppy and asked if we wanted a pup cup (never experienced this) and she gave us one for our older dog as well. Super friendly staff, accurate order, and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back! Shout out to Eva and Gaby… Thank you both for being so friendly!

This has been coming an alarming trend with Fast Food Restaurants everywhere.
But the employees at A&W were relying 100% on the kiosks and not interacting with customers. (Especially when we had questions)
All 3 employees were too busy on their phones hiding by the drive thru window…
We tried getting their attention, but they were way self absorbed in their phones.
Sandwiches sloppy put together and the fries we like warm at best and the syrup for pop was over calibrated making the drinks way too sweet.
I remember when A & W was proudly run by it’s employees… such a shame that has gone away.

Had to give American A&W another try because I went in Canada and it was awesome. However, safe to say I do not need to give American A&W any more tries. The food quality is what you would expect from a concession stand at a sporting event, and frankly, the price is too.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get the opportunity to try the grilled chicken strips or the fries… The bottom of the bag gave out as I was leaving the car. The burger and the shake were good though!

Great tasting food. This was our first time at an A&W and everything was yummy. The restaurant dining room needed some tending too and the staff were not very personable. You order from a kiosk that limits interactions, especially if you have questions. The freeze was our favorite! My daughter said the burger was delicious, I had chicken tenders and they were pretty good as well. Will certainly recommend, and I’ll try a burger next time.

Super slow service for two root beers in the drive thru. There were zero cars in line, it looked like the delay was due to cleaning or shift change. Stop at the gas station if you’re thirsty!
