Maiesha was so generous and sweet! Her smile is so bright, and she really takes care of every order. You can tell she cares about her customers. She’s super friendly and just made my whole visit better. Customer service like that really stands out! Definitely a favorite spot of mine!

Sorry for the late review. I went to the a&w restaurant at the 210 town center in Dearborn around November, 2025. I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Maieshi M. She assisted me with making my purchase there. She is awesome! I had a great time. I dine in. The area was clean; the other people that worked there were friendly as well. The food was good. I had a great dining in experience. I live a distance away in the Grosse Pointe area which is a journey and are pleasantly pleased when I drop in at A&W. I stop in whenever I am in the area (I wish they had a A&W in my area :)). I had to get a memorial rootbeer mug. I love, love, love the root beer floats .

Thank you Ms. Maieshi for helping to make my journey worthwhile.
Happy New Year!
Sincerely, Cookie

Saw a review mention the cheese curds and decided to give it a try, and saw their menu and ordered an onion mushroom cheeseburger.

Both were made to order so the cheese curds were especially hit the second I hot them and tried them although they lose heat somewhat quickly, so when I sat in a cafeteria they were warm instead. I’m guessing the same happened to the burger too.

When hit the cheese was good and meaty when eating, and the bread was crispy and felt either salted or flavored! The cheese somewhat solidified in a few minutes but was still good.

The burger was fairly decent too. The bread has decent rise and was not dry not not mouse either, and the sauce and white cheese is a flavor I prefer over the yellow American cheese. The burger patties were decent. They were steaming fresh but they were not that juicy but the flavor was decent and made for a nice burger experience.

Overall, for like $5 for the cheese curds and $7-8 for the double party burger I like it as it’s a pretty decent–good value!

I came here to get a large root beer floor and and I got was a large cup of root beer and an inch and a half of ice cream. If I wanted root beer, I could have went to any store or gas station and got one for under $2 not for $6.35 at A&W. The customer service nowadays are deplorable and I’m so upset about this because the consumer pays to much money at these fast food places just to get scraps. I say this place needs to be shutdown completely because if you can’t satisfy the customer then why stay in business. Money wasted . As you can see in the picture my cup is clean because it was full of root beer and that’s all the ice cream I got….just sad

Went an hour before their posted closing on a Friday night just to be told “our fryers are being cleaned, it will take a while before we get them going again” our response was “I will wait” the lady asked us to wait a moment then came back and said “our fryers will be off for the night” Mind you this is all an hour before they are supposed to be closed and the workers were being rude. We couldn’t get any food and with the workers being mean we decided not to get anything at all. Do not go to this location if you can avoid it.

Food was hot and fresh. The onion rings are always delicious. Did not get a straw with our drinks and the lady was too busy taking other orders from DT and did not recognize me still sitting there waiting to ask for them as they were laying on the counter. She is always polite though. Papa Sauce is a little spicy but for me it os too much. One combo out the door can run you about $13. Cheese curds are always pretty good too. Looks like all mozzarella cheese in them. Beer batter type of breading. Not the other kind like crunchy batter or like those from DQ. We like the crispy crunchy batter on the tenders too.

If you want a float done the right way, this is the spot.

The A&W outside Fairlane Mall in Dearborn is seriously underrated. Every time I go, it reminds me why A&W floats are classic for a reason. The root beer is ice cold, perfectly carbonated, and you can tell it’s fresh — not flat, not syrupy, just smooth and crisp. Then they top it with that creamy vanilla soft serve that melts into the root beer just enough to create that perfect foam layer on top.

The balance is everything. It’s not overloaded with ice cream where it turns into a milkshake, and it’s not too light where you’re just drinking soda. It’s that nostalgic, old-school drive-in style float that hits every single time.

There’s something about getting one there, especially being right outside Fairlane Mall — it just feels classic. Simple, refreshing, and done right. On a hot day? Unreal. Even on a cold day? Still worth it.

Service has always been quick and friendly, and the floats are consistently made with care. You can tell they’re not rushing through it — they actually build it properly so you get that layered, creamy, fizzy perfection.

If you haven’t had an A&W float in a while, go here and get one. It’ll remind you why they’ve been famous for it forever. Absolutely five stars just for the floats alone. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I hate to say it but both times I’ve come here, two different employees had difficulty understanding my order. I don’t think it’s me because English is my first language and I’ve never been told I’m hard to understand or follow.

My special request is that I like mayo on my burger and not mustard, so please substitute mayo instead of mustard. I had to explain it twice to the first person, and when I got home I noticed they also gave me cheese, although I had specifically said no to that. And the next time, I had to explain myself three times. I not only asked for mayo in place of mustard but could I also please have extra tomato. I got home and opened my burger to discover it only had condiments on it, nothing else.

It’s such a huge bummer because it’s so hard to find fast food veggie burgers and this location is convenient for me! But still, forget it. Fast food isn’t even inexpensive anymore, so why bother trying.
