Mind blowing atmosphere and food!
Celebrated Valentine’s Day with my fiance there and loved it to the bit! We felt so special there. All staff gave us a lot of attention and helped with menu suggestion, etc.
Management is great! I loved our waiter Blake, very nice person. He could answer all of our questions. Food was amazing! Lobster pasta must try for everyone! Also their home made ice cream is the best thing ever made

Good service and great food! Definitely will be back! The atmosphere was lovely and very comfortable, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. Every dish was well prepared and flavorful.seafood tastes very fresh

The only funny surprise was the sorbet at the end — the portion was *huge*! Almost too much to finish after such a satisfying meal But overall, everything was wonderful and we truly enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend!

Avra Dallas is truly a standout dining experience. Nestled in Uptown’s The Crescent, this upscale Greek restaurant delivers refined Mediterranean cuisine in an atmosphere that feels like an elegant oasis in the heart of the city.

The food is not only absolutely delicious, it is presented in the most aesthetically pleasing way — every dish feels thoughtfully curated and worthy of admiration before the first bite. The seafood is incredibly fresh, with fish flown in daily — truly from the sea to the table.

Our service was impeccable from start to finish — attentive, polished, and perfectly timed without ever feeling intrusive.

Avra Dallas is more than a meal; it’s an experience. If you appreciate exceptional seafood, beautiful presentation, and elevated hospitality, this is a must-visit. You will not be disappointed.

Avra is an absolutely gorgeous restaurant with a great bar and beautiful indoor and outdoor patio spaces. The décor is stunning, and the ambiance makes the whole experience feel special.

The bartenders are incredible—super skilled and really creative with their drinks. The food is just delicious. I loved being able to pick my own fresh fish from their market display, and the fresh prawns and lobster pasta were honestly some of the best I’ve had in town.

Service was excellent as well. Our server was charming, attentive, and had great recommendations.

I’ll definitely be going back soon with friends!

We dined at Avra Dallas on February 16 to celebrate my partner Minas’ birthday, and we had a truly wonderful experience. Minas is Greek, so the bar was high and Avra absolutely delivered. He especially loved the grilled octopus, which was perfectly prepared and full of flavor.

The ambiance is elegant yet welcoming, and the seafood was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Every course felt intentional and well-executed.

Our server, Marco, was exceptional, attentive, informative, and genuinely one of the best. He made the evening feel special and seamless from start to finish.

Overall, it was a memorable birthday celebration, and we look forward to returning.

Beautiful Ambiance, Great Food, with Minor Drawbacks

I celebrated my birthday at Avra, the Greek-Mediterranean restaurant in the Crescent Hotel in downtown Dallas, and it was overall a lovely experience.

The ambiance is beautiful — elegant, calming, and well designed. The wine wall, soft lighting, and earthy tones create a refined yet welcoming atmosphere.

The food was excellent. The fish stood out as the highlight of the meal — fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. The flavors were vibrant and satisfying.

That said, the lobster pasta was unavailable, which was disappointing for a birthday dinner. While our waiter Joshua was attentive, the overall staff energy felt a bit distant, and our party of five was seated in a high-traffic area, which made the experience feel less intimate.

Overall, Avra is a great spot with wonderful food and a serene setting. With warmer hospitality and better seating placement, it could be an excellent choice for special occasions. I’d still recommend it — just ask for a quieter table.

Avra is a new beautiful restaurant located across from the Crescent hotel. The truly fresh seafood was delicious and the presentation was the best I had seen in Dallas. I loved how they brought the fish to my table for me to examine before they prepare it… wow what an experience. Getting started with healthy raw veggies and hummus was a nice treat. Too bad I can’t afford to go every week, however the amazing food, professional service and atmosphere was so exceptional, it will be my go to, for special occasions! I highly recommend Avra, it’s worth a visit. Marsha T

Visited Avra Dallas for dinner since it’s one of the newer additions to the Dallas dining scene. The restaurant was packed on a Thursday evening.

We ordered the octopus, scallops, and lamb chops. The lamb chops were excellent; perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The octopus was good and nicely prepared. The scallops, however, were a bit underwhelming compared to the other dishes. I noticed many tables ordering fish, so definitely be trying one of their fresh fish selections next time.

We were seated slightly away from the main crowd, which gave the evening a semi-VIP, more private feel. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience.

Wonderful experience here last night! Delicious food and impeccable service. The vibe is great, the staff is friendly and welcoming – not like the stuffy, bougie atmosphere at Catch. The offerings are abundant and perfectly curated. We had the classic Greek salad, plenty to split with a table of four. The yellowtail with jalapeno, over the top fantastic! Crispy rice with tuna – my clients loved, loved this! We split the lobster pasta, Dover sole and branzino. With a side of truffle fries – crispy to perfection and a grilled veggie side. Couldn’t have been happier. Finished with a huge slice ice coconut pie with coconut ice cream, generous portion even four four of us. We absolutely loved every single bite of the entire meal. I can’t wait to go back! Ask for Christiano! He’s awesome!!! Oh and great wine list, something Greek is what I recommend!

Best high end seafood restaurant in Dallas. The Chilean sea bass plaki was to die for, perfectly cooked great portion and the tomato fish broth was phenomenal and had a kick. Lavraki (Greek Branzino fish) was light and flavorful great texture. Lobster pasta was 10/10 also a nice portion and better than Monarch. Octopus was 7/10 too salty but good flavor. Skip on the steak, just ok. Cocktails were just ok. Greek wine was great!

Gorgeous, large restaurant with beautiful coastal vibes. The fish display where you can pick your own fish is nice, I appreciate that they provide different sizes of each fish so you pick one that is proportional to just you eating or for the table to share.
Service was ok, a little slow twice, sommelier forgot about us. All of the staff seems very anxious like they are being watched closely and overwhelmed. Great restaurant for people watching.
