How Avo got her Feast Growing up an American child of Portuguese decent, visiting your grandmother (Avó) meant you better be bringing your appetite! It seems as though no matter what time of day or night, avó always had something delicious prepared and took pride in making sure everyone present was well fed! Growing up in a culture rich in tradition, including the “Feast of the Holy Ghost,” which originated centuries ago in the Azores, we comprised our menu to offer a taste of the various types of delicious foods found at these festivals. We took this concept and situated it in a fun, festive environment to bring you a truly unique casual dining experience!

Generally all of the food is pretty good. I wouldn’t get delivery from here ever again. Half the order was wrong and it was all stone cold. My refund on missing items is about half of what I paid after the crazy delivery charges. I don’t want a refund. I want the food. Warm at least. Refunding me only a portion of what I really paid doesn’t make it right. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I would go there to eat but I can’t justify ever ordering delivery from here again. Such bad customer service. Maybe it’s better in person when they have to look you in the eye.

Food was delicious, fresh, and appealing. Cool to perfection; steak moist and tender, chourico and peppers seasoned perfectly, and rolls for sandwiches fresh and soft! The portions perfect! Soup was stock filled! Avos serves fresh, well seasoned, and prepared food to tantalize the tastebuds.

Honestly, this place is a hidden gem. I stopped in for a quick bite and ended up with a full steak dinner—potatoes, rice, and all—served up in under 10 minutes. The staff are incredibly friendly, and I couldn’t help but smile at their “Wooden Spoon Survivor” shirts—such a fun touch. And the desserts? Absolutely to die for. I highly recommend giving this spot a try. It brought me right back to my Avo’s kitchen—pure comfort and nostalgia.
