The food and drinks were great along with the service. Started with the loaded tots as appetizer and followed by a burger. The fries were unexpectedly GOOD! The burger was well seasoned and freshly cooked.

After having a dinner at Avondale Common House, which was perfect for a group of 6 with great options that everyone enjoyed, we decided to explore the venue for a private party. We ended up holding an engagement party for about 35 people in the restaurant. It was the perfect location and atmosphere. Ashley, the director of catering, was amazing to work with to create the perfect menu and custom cocktail, and she was very responsive to my many questions. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were so kind and accommodating (and honestly just fun!).

We had the wings (which are by the way) buffalo cauliflower, the maple orchard salad is delish, pretty much everything we have tried is taste great and fresh. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. We have dined in and did takeout, doesn’t disappoint. I’m actually surprised they are not crowded everyday! Parking is free, staff is great and friendly. Wish I had photos but literally started devouring our food once it came. Everything comes out quick. Really great restaurant and bar in Avondale/Birmingham. Try it out you won’t be disappointed. Oh and they have vegetarian/vegan options that out did I mention the buffalo cauliflower, fried green tomatoes, they have veggie burgers and vegan tacos if I am

The vegan BBQ sandwich was great! The pulled oats filling had a really good texture to it and it soaked up the sauce so nicely. The fries were very hot and crispy too 🙂 the bartender was super nice, but I didn’t catch his name

Hands down, the best restaurant in Avondale. Maybe even Birmingham. My wife and I stopped in on a hunch and had a fantastic dinner on Saturday. We brought our dog and sat on the patio for delicious dinner; we heard the Sunday brunch was so good we came back the next day. Not only was the food terrific but the service was competent, friendly, and made it feel like a family. Other customers were friendly as well; can’t say enough about this place!

Our organizers did not know AND were not informed that we would be seated outside in 91-degree heat with only one fan blowing. There were 15 in the group. This should have been communicated when the venue was secured. Would have rated higher otherwise.

Absolutely the best shrimp and grits! It’s a must have. Also, the fries are perfect! Tender on the inside, and a nice crunchy outside. The service is excellent. The staff is super friendly. This place is the example of what a real neighborhood restaurant should be. Can’t wait to return. Looking forward to getting the burger next time.
