Great Italian deli in the middle of an Irish neighborhood which is different if you think about it but it definitely works !
They serve up great sandwiches and hot and cold freshly made Italian food.
They also have Italian imports and everything is authentic.
I have never tried anything here that was less than great !
It gets a little busy around lunch but the crew keeps the line moving.
If you are in the area stop in for lunch, you won’t be sorry.

Very nice neighborhood deli. Staff is very friendly. Cash and credit is accepted. There is street parking but it is a busy area so parking is limited. Sandwiches are good, between $8-$10. Their hot food selection seems to be a good choice for anyone looking for lunch.

First and foremost let me say the food was delicious. I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich,which is a usual I order from here, and some Italian roll stuffed with meats, as shown in the pics. However where I am disappointed was the price for the sandwich. I’ve previously posted pics of the bread size for the sandwich. This time they were on what is left of their bread supply and only the shortest loafs were left. But they still charge me the same prices for the larger sandwiches? You could of taken a dollar off or something to make it seem like a better deal. Sandwich $8.50; Italian roll 4.50 total $13.00 09/03/21

The best Italian deli in Yonkers. I’ve been going here for over 10 years and the only time they disappoint is when they run out of bread! Award winning fresh mozzarella, hot food 6 days a week, awesome sandwiches and always a friendly staff.

One of my favorite delis in NY! The prosciutto and fresh mozzarella is my favorite. They don’t skimp out in the size of the sandwiches. I love the rolls, which are soft and buttery and perfect when you don’t want a lot of bread. There is almost always a line, so I recommend calling in your order for pick up if you’re in a rush.

Very nice Deli, hot tray with basic italian food groups: Broccoli Rabe & Sausage, Eggplant Rollatini, Chicken Cutlets, fried Zucchini, Grilled vegetables, Rice, Chicken Parmesan…I bought a pound of imported Fuscilli & a small tray of chicken and Sautéed onions – for my Lunch.
They make great sandwiches & have assorted cookies, Italian imported food products and pastas, plenty of macaroni sauce brands.

I had expectations for such a deli, but was very disappointed. The chicken cutlet hero was missing the roasted red peppers I ordered. Overall the hero tasted bland. The chicken, lettuce, tomatoes onions did not add any flavor to the oil vinegar, and black pepper. The meat was dry.
Years later I tried again. Better. The bread was not crispy but the peppers made up for it. Chicken was fine, fresh mozzarella melted.
The store is clean and has a nice counter layout of good looking dishes.

Great Italian family owned Deli. Great daily assortment of prepared hot food. Sandwiches and cold cuts to order. Many imported Italian specialties are available. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Fast service, too! There is a line at lunchtime, but it is well worth the wait! Street parking only, though. Enjoy!

We have been getting great quality food from here for years. The staff are all very friendly and helpful,we love the coldcuts,the fresh Italian bread,the imported procuttio,chicken cutlets,short ribs, chicken salad. It gets busy at lunch time, so good to ring in your order

My family and friends have been catering food from Avitabile for years, they do an amazing job with everything. Their hot food is great and they have a nice variety of salads. I especially enjoy their hero sandwiches, they are quite hearty and a great value.
I recently worked with the manager Joe to cater sandwiches for a party with roughly 100 people. He helped me come up with the perfect variety and amount given the number of people and so forth. The chicken cutlet with roasted red pepper and mozzarella was the most popular. They also offer this same sandwich with eggplant as one of their vegetarian options.
The service is always superior, they were kind enough to cut them into various sizes so I could fit everything easily in my car — and with very secure packaging.
Avitabile is one of those few remaining family-owned businesses that you can count on. The quality has been consistently excellent, everything tastes just as good as it did a decade ago.
