I know Aviator’s is well-known for its breakfasts — and we can testify that it is very good and a great deal — but I also stopped by the other day for lunch. Aviator’s is unique; it is essentially located in the control tower of the Sacramento Executive Airport. The decor is from another era and the numerous floor to ceiling windows allow you to watch the small planes come and go on the tarmac. Like breakfast, lunch is a good deal. I settled on the “Exclusive,” which resembled a Philly Cheesesteak. It came with a side and I chose onion rings. The sandwich was very good,and so were the onion rings, although a bit greasy. My son had the Aviator’s burger and enjoyed it as well. Service was prompt and friendly, quick with drink refills and to ask if we needed anything else. Hearty lunch with iced tea for two and out the door for $40.00 before tip. Check it out and enjoy a step back in time.

Great View, But Needs Improvement
We expected more from the food on our family visit. It was average for the price and, sadly, had no “wow” effect.
The atmosphere was also a letdown. The restaurant would be much more attractive if they cleaned the dust from the walls and decorations, which looks nasty and ruins the experience.
The best thing about this place is, of course, the fantastic view of the planes flying back and forth. However, for the other reasons, we will not be coming again.

The Fittest Fat Guy
Hidden Gem! My son & I love to come here for breakfast. The Food is delicious & the servings are hearty & one thing I love is the gigantic coffee mugs they serve you coffee in! The ambient is amazing if you sit by the windows & is rally unique with the view of the airport, & all of the model planes hanging from the ceiling really complete the Aviator look! All in All a well deserved 4/5 stars. Service could be better & the tables could use an update.

My egg scramble was good, and the price was decent, but the chicken fried steak was not good. The gravy tasted like flour, and it was grainy. My hubby was not happy at all with his food except for the hashbrowns. They were good. The service sucked. Very slow. I think their short of staff…definitely need more people working to provide better service.

It’s like going into a Time Machine. Kids love looking at the airplanes landing and taking off. Food is good. Ask for the off menu fried rice. We have had private parties here too. Overall a fun place to have breakfast or lunch or rent out for dinner parties

I’m definitely not impressed here. We came here because my husband wanted to have “brunch“ here because he had to fly. It’s obvious that the ambience is so outdated. All the decorations were thick with dust and all are not up-to-date. We were lucky we arrived when we did because evidently their power went out. Also, they were out of certain items on their menu. Interestingly enough, we were there at 10 AM. How can you be out of items on your menu that early in the morning??? we were seated within a reasonable amount of time and they took our order. However, it took a while to get our food. And honestly, I’m having a side effect from yesterday‘s lunch. I had the burger and I think my butt is paying the price for it. I think I ate a bad hamburger because I have not stopped going to the bathroom this whole day and we went there yesterday. (July 20, 2024). I refuse to come by here again the next time he decides to fly at this airport.

A good, solid American breakfast. Generous portions and crispy bacon. Potatoes could have been a tad crispier for my liking, but overall, the food was great for the price and convenient for an airport meal (don’t need to go anywhere, it’s right at the airport). Nice spot for small or large groups, cozy atmosphere with fun decor. Only downside is that it seems to be a popular spot and shorthanded staff means long waits to be seated, get your food, and pay the bill; though everyone was very friendly and were trying their hardest. Come here for the food/views, not the service- it will still be a good experience.

Great view, nice staff and good food. I first saw this in the news so me and my family visited the restaurant and it’s worth it! Gives you that vintage vibes, and you can see the planes departing and arriving. The staff and the patrons are very welcoming.
