They have a breakfast menu too. This quick-service restaurant is a really convenient amenity to have next to the top-notch Field of Dreams playground, splash pad, and spray park.
The thrift store boutique is very clean and has lots of great dresswear. I love taking my kiddo to the playground and splashpad, and then cooling off inside with some iced coffee and a browse around the store/gallery.
We hosted my son’s first birthday party in their private room and it was fabulous. The rental was a very reasonable price, we had the room for entire day, AND it included patio access to the splash pad. They also offered discounts of event food and provided soft drinks. My party guests loved the coffee counter and ice cream shop. Most other places we looked at to host a party charged the same price (or more) for only 3-5 hours of access to a room. Having the room for the whole day (and they let us set up the day before) made the party so much less stressful.
The staff is so kind, and the mission of the business is beautiful. Aves’ place is a happy place!
So yeah—if it takes a minute to get your ice cream or your bagel, look around. Read the room. Be stoked that someone’s out here feeling useful, being part of something, contributing.
I’ve been skating the facility next door for a long time—since, well…
Sometimes I stop by for a burger. Sometimes a can of something with waaaaay too much sugar. Other times I’ll just walk around the little thrift store they have on-site.
And then there’s Annie.
She’s the one who comes out before they open, dragging the sign out to let everyone know they’re ready for the day. Last week I asked for something simple—just a plain bagel, not warmed, nothing fancy. The kind of thing I’d eat at home. But Annie? She took the time to warm it, and it was amazing.
This week, I asked for a bagel with two eggs and bacon. Annie not only made it perfect—she wrapped it up like it mattered. And let me tell you—it was the best bagel I’ve ever had.
Thank you, Annie.
You’re not just a ray of sunshine—you are kindness.
Thank you for what you do.
The staff was very friendly and I really enjoyed the meal. I also understand that the profits go to a very good cause.
