With classic sandwiches like Super Orange Ave Italian featuring pepper turkey, pastrami, bacon, genoa salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and onion! We are proud to feature fresh Mexican favorites like our carne asada burrito. We have fresh salad options, and an amazing breakfast menu. Absolute best sub shop in San Diego. Subs are always fully loaded and taste delicious. Been coming to this spot for years and they have never disappointed. The staff has always been amazing and they truly care about the customers and their product.

Usually I enjoy my sandwiches from here. However, I went out on a limb and ordered a half Philly Cheese Steak (thankfully only half). While I have high expectations of my Cheese Steaks having grown up in Philly, I didn’t set my expectations too high before ordering from here, considering this is not that type of fare (more Mexican food). The menu (printed paper and in-store) states and pictures show SIRLOIN beef as I would expect. To get a ground beef (and mushy) was highly disappointing. I should have been told and the menu should be updated to reflect that sirloin beef isn’t what is used. It’s disgusting and changes my feelings about this place. The store owners and managers are always so polite and friendly. Unfortunately, this restaurant’s food is inconsistent.

We’ve been coming to Coronado for over 25 years, and we had no idea about this HIDDEN GEM! Best subs ever!! Today I tried the Orange Avenue Italian. It was only $7 for a HUGE half or $11 for the full. I couldn’t even finish half of the half! It was DELISH. I can’t wait to try the other sandwiches on our next visit.

YUM! Photo doesn’t do it justice- so fresh and delish. Ordered the Famous Coronado in a wrap and the turkey and bacon were fresh and hot, the avocado was perfectly ripe and cold and the price is SO GOOD. What an amazing value- highly recommend grabbing a sandwich here and sitting at a cafe table on Orange Ave or taking it down to the beach!
