Such a unique local chain, I have never seen another restaurant with the flavor and texture combinations Avatar’s offers. Have always had friendly service as well. So many fun combinations to be had, will be going back for a long time, I suspect. Particularly love the sweet potato enchiladas, your choice of meat.

Avatar’s is fusion Indian food. It is wonderfully delicious and inventive. Many time I plan my day and trips around being able to stop and pick up food for dinner for us as we live in the East Bay. Highly recommend the Mustard Green, spinach and tofu burrito, the sweet potato and chicken and the smoked eggplant. All the food is super yummy. Many times when I order I get a bowl of their daily soup which is always vegan, lentil based and so flavorful…cumin, mustard seeds, coriander and so much more. They have enchiladas and rice dishes too. High recommend Avatars and I am very picky about my food. Definitely go to their home base restaurant is Sausalito, it has many more wonderful selections.

I’m not a big fan of having my savory with the sweet so I was a bit surprised to see mango in the mix with their enchiladas. Also somewhat bummed they didn’t have any paneer burritos/enchiladas available; seems like a big miss. Other than that the burrito was great.

We stopped by while coming back from Golden gate bridge visit to back home in East Bay. This was the only nearest option for food. The joint is small and cozy. The food is decent, tasty and freshly made. There are vegetarians options available as well. Parking and restrooms are available too. The owner was friendly.

Great family friendly place. Had pumpkin burrito last time and was great. Tonight they steered me to the pumpkin enchiladas. Not sure what dish I enjoyed more… Looking forward to my next meal. Thank you

Tasty Indian burritos at a reasonable price. If you’re sensitive to spice, I recommend asking for a side of yogurt. Counter service by unenthusiastic staff is small price to pay for the yummy food. Lamb here is on point.

One of my favorites for a good lunch at a good price. Very tasty and unique. Service is quick too, so if you have somewhere to be but can wait for a good meal, this place has you covered.

A selection of Indian food in a small setting. Take out or eat there (only a few tables). Resonably priced and good way to satisfy that need for Indian cuisine. Lunch place in a small strip mall, but worth the visit.

Honestly, there was nothing “Indian” about this food, other than some curry flavoring. The burrito was, sadly, bland. I’ve traveled to India many times, and nothing close to this “tortilla” or Indian bread was anywhere to be seen ): I was expecting maybe curry rolled up in nan bread, but I had rather bland chickpeas and bland basmati rice rolled up in a greasy type of tortilla thing (?) Sad, because I was really looking forward to something with a Punjab flair. Not here ):
