Let me clear: this review is not about the staff. The front-line employees have consistently been polite in every interaction that I’ve witnessed. The issue is entirely with the managers.
Each time I’ve walked in the restaurant, I am usually met with dismissiveness and an unmistakable tone of disrespect from management. No greeting, no courtesy- just short irritated responses and body language that makes it clear that I am not welcomed there.
After experiencing this repeatedly, I’ve decided to ask around – and I am not alone. Several other individuals I’ve spoken to have shared similar experiences: cold treatment and selective politeness. When the same feedback comes from multiple people, its no longer a coincidence-its a pattern.
What’s most confusing is how this place maintains a 4-star rating. If I had to guess, its because the staff helps to carry the reputation, management certainly does not.
The environment created by the managers feels so unwelcoming at times that it makes you question who they actually want walking through their doors. At this point, they might as well put “whites only” at the door, given how certain customers are made to feel.
Leadership sets the tone for any establishment. Until the managers learn basic professionalism, courtesy, and how to treat all individuals with equal respect. This place is not recommended to be dined in. And don’t forget, word of mouth spreads quickly. If this pattern continues, it will not be good for this establishment.

We are new to Avenir. One night we tried Avanti pizza. It was fantastic. It was perfect. On toppings are fresh. It’s baked to perfection. We get takeout once to twice a week. We decided to try the pasta. Outstanding! The linguine with clams is from scratch. I had the Italian trio with bolognese. Everything was made from scratch. The best bolognese since my Mom’s I have ever had. We are hooked!

Awful experience here several times. Soup is very oily in all soups. Oil floats on the top. Chicken is dry in chicken soup. Traditional minestrone soup has pasta. There does not ok. The kid that answers the phone, claims to be manager. Puts on hold to talk to cook that doesn’t speak English well. Still made us pay. Not an authentic Italian restaurant to dine in.

Just at at a place right up the road ! We split a slice of pizza as our appetizer very good! The meals came with salad and rolls or garlic rolls (your choice) trued salmon and chicken parm as our meals The meals were delicious hugh portions reasonably priced tray our waiter did a great job and the owner mock was very personable

Ordered our food, was told 25 minutes, which we knew was never going to happen which was fine. Called after just over an hour to make sure we weren’t forgotten and got the “sorry for the delay” your order is out for delivery. Ok. no problem. Another hour goes by and we call again, Oh sorry we forgot, we can remake your order and give you a discount. 20 years ordering today was the last time.

I’m a New Yorker soon to be Floridian. We take 2 things seriously our pizza and our bagels. I had a feeling we would never find a pizza that would live up to New York expectations. Hahaha was I SO WRONG on this one. Not only are the pizza slices very large (see photo) they were JUST as good as NYC pizza. Serious!
You can eat in or tables outside. They have lunch specials and great dinners too. If you are lucky enough to have Aeta (I know it is spelled wrong) apologies in advance, but if you have her as a waitress than you will get the complete experience! Manga!
