Being the only restaurant is interesting and the service and food was AMAZING! They are so efficient to make sure the flow is good and very attentive. I had the soup and it was delicious, also had tenders and fries that were cooked perfectly.
Made my delays far more comfortable and definitely worth showing up early for some food before your flight

Sat right down at a clean table. 11:00 am on a Tuesday. Fish and chips and regular burger with fries. All hot and fresh. Fish crispy and tasty. Burger meat tender and juicy. Bun perfect. I have no complaints whatsoever ever for this establishment. Charging ports, usb, and 120v outlets.

Woah! The Avalon Aetopub is the best kept secret of Redmond, Oregon! Stumbled upon this gem only because my flight was delayed. Not only is it gorgeous but is deceptively large given the petite airport it’s on top of! The food was delicious, the drinks stiff and the staff amiable. Plenty of Tv’s and if you wanna people watch or plane watch the view is top notch!

Best food I’ve had at an airport. Typically you overspend for mediocre food because you have to. Avalon was excellent. Burger was fantastic, why was the bun so good? Fries were perfectly seasoned. If you’re looking at the reviews and trying to figure out if you should get fast food on the way to the airport, don’t. A+

Extremely disappointed… again!
You’d think with this being the only option at RDM that there would be more attention to making sure this restaurant/bar is held to a high standard, but unfortunately that is not the case.
Typically- service is pretty terrible, as is the food. Sadly today was no different.. I made eye contact with THREE staff members when I arrived and not one of them acknowledge me. So I finally went close to where I was going to sit and asked if that was OK if I sat there. About 10 minutes went by until somebody finally came over to get my order. He finally brought my beer and then my soup came a while after that. I tried it and instantly new I couldn’t eat it… it was terrible. So I pushed it to the side and looked around for staff. My waiter walked RIGHT by me and completely ignored me. I continued to sit there and finally after making eye-contact with the bartender a few times, he acknowledged me. Yelling across the restaurant if I was ready for my check. I said “no, I had been trying to get someones attention”. He came over and I quietly let him know about the soup. He didn’t really apologize and asked if I wanted the other soup instead. I said okay.. he brought it and it was decent, but certainly not good. No one bothered checking until someone who just clocked in came over and said “you still doing great here?”. Not wanting to cause an issue, I just asked for my check, so I could get out of there.
Terrible service and food and it was extremely clear that the staff really doesn’t give a crap.
So I spent almost $20 on ONE beer and a crap CUP of soup with burned bread and horrible service… not worth it and extremely frustrating.
I hope you make an effort to do better.

Came in and was surprised by the mediocre service. Last time I was in I was pleasantly surprised by John, who made an excellent Manhattan. Nothing fancy, just excellent bartending. I was told he no longer works at the restaurant!!! Why??? When asked for a Manhattan the girl gave me Old Fashioned “up.” No one expects expert mixologists at an airport restaurant but the ability to do a proper Manhattan would be great. John, when he worked there, knew what he was doing. The current crew seemed more interested in getting you in and out rather than proper service. Sad.

Food was so-so but not terrible for airport food. They do have a lot of gluten free options which is awesome! The service was amazing though! Super sweet and attentive staff, really made me feel welcome. Will definitely go back !

UPDATE: I have lowered my review to one star due to the atrocious reply by the owner. I’d suggest identifying and fixing the issues with your staff and restaurant, rather than attempting to attack your paying customers for arbitrary comments taken out of context. A fish rots from the head down.
On Friday, October 17, 2025, my partner and I had the displeasure of visiting this establishment before our flight. When we arrived, the restaurant was full and we purchased to-go drinks from the service counter. As we were about to leave, a few tables started to open up as there was an upcoming departure. As we waited near a table that had not yet been cleaned, the server/bus girl asked us if we were planning to order food, to which point she informed us that “you can drink out there,” pointing to the waiting area outside the restaurant, and suggesting that unless we were planning to eat, we were not allowed/discouraged from sitting at a table at a bar in which we were already paying customers. Obviously this meant, to us, that there was definitely no way we were going to patronize their business further as we were somehow not worth seating because they already had our money. Clearly this waitress was only concerned with whatever tips she personally was looking to receive, and not the actual care for the patrons of the restaurant. It is also not the fault of any patron that your restaurant is not properly equipped to handle the number of customers you see on a daily basis. I did not review the food as we were denied the possibility of ordering it.

Great restaurant hidden above the connection gates. I wasn’t expecting quality food at an airport and was pleasantly surprised with my burger. The portions were generous too. Service was excellent – friendly and attentive.
