A wonderfuly dense little sweets shop. The treats are beautiful and tasty in equal measure. I got the orange sherbet and it was wonderfully flavorful. I was passing through when I decided to stop for a treat and it was a decision I’ll be repeating whenever I can find an excuse to do it again.

Ava Marie’s the only chocolate shop I buy from now. And the ice cream is first rate, with many flavors. I have one complaint however. The chocolate pecan turtles have shrunken the proportion of chocolate and pecans to caramel dramatically, They look like the turtles have withdrawn their heads and legs into their shell! I’d much rather pay more and have those wonderful chocolatey nutty turtles back!

Wow, everything is so delicious! While doing errands in the Plaza, my husband noticed this chocolate shop. We excitedly walked in and felt like kids in a candy store. There are so many different options. We got a little bit of everything. It was all super tasty, and the oreo stuffed cookies were the best surprise! I can’t wait to go back and try more sweet goodies.

My family and I visit New Hampshire often and love to visit different areas of the state. In June we happened by Peterborough and some quaint shops. One of those shops was Ava Marie Chocolates. We are great chocolate lovers and this shop was a great find. They have wonderful ice cream and a great atmosphere that allows patient shopping and a great staff that are super helpful. The selection is really interesting and I loved the warm and friendly nature of the staff. I tried about three ice cream flavors before finally settling on the best maple walnut. If you are in the Peterborough area, be sure to check out this wonderful shop! Thank you to Laura for all your help and patience while my son and I took our time choosing chocolate to bring home!

Just stopped in on our way through and so glad we did. First of all, this is a nice and tidy shop. The selection was vast and the young lady behind the counter was very helpful and very polite. We purchased a few chocolates and I had to try the ice cream. Wow, am I sure glad I did. Some of the best I’ve ever had! To wrap this up. Clean, tidy, good service, great selections and very delicious. You need to try this to satisfy your cravings and need for something sweet.
Update: we purchased a chocolate peanut butter whoopi pie and that too was amazing and unlike any that we’ve ever had. The cake was dense, moist and delicious. The peanut butter filling was not too sweet and very rich and also satisfying. A perfect combination that was crafted to perfection!

This was a favorite spot for years with a charming shop and delicious ice cream and fun sundae choices! Unfortunately the owner sold the shop, they moved to a dumpy mini mall with NO SEATING, and it has lost the charming feel and great service they had before! I would bring clients all the time, but now I guess we will wait for the outdoor ice cream places to open and I will go to Wilton for my chocolates. Sad!
