The place is adorable. A couple tables inside and a few more outside. You can get a lot of what they sell at the market but warmed up and served with a greens salad in a light pleasing dressing. I can personally vouche for the CROC monsieur. There are also sandwiches which they are not set up for at the farmer’s markets. I had the Jambon & Beurre with ham and was beyond pleased. The buttered baguette with ham and pickle has an honest flavor. We also had a turkey and Swiss on baguette which was very good. The prices are great. There aren’t many places where one can get a solid quiche, CROC monster or classic French sandwich and a good cup of local coffee for about $15 a person, not to mention the ambiance of dining at a little white clothed table outside or in front of a huge window surrounded by the awesome smell of fresh baked goods. It is a sensory treat.
At the farmers market I have had the savory and some sweet crossaints. Savory crossaints are harder to find and Remy does them right. We usually get a loaf of sourdough, baguettes and sometimes the herbed bread. We also get the linzer cookies, of course. The tarts are really good, too. (My mouth is watering just writing this.)
I have taken a loaf of “alligator” bread to a friend’s who has smaller kids. There is nothing more wholesome than watching children enjoy good bread with butter while being thrilled that it is shaped like a gator. If you are having a dinner with kids (little or the adult kind) the artisan shaped breads are going to be a huge hit.
The high quality of the ingredients make the bread not leave you a sluggish feeling after you have eaten it.
All around a must visit. I can’t wait to get home and visit, again.
I walked in and found a very clean, quaint little artisan bakery. I met Anna who was creating some delicacies. Very warm and hospitable woman. The assortment of pastries was quite large. Everything looked amazing. Well crafted and presented. Like little sculpted pieces of edible art.
I decided to try the Quiche Florentine with a cup of coffee. My wife ordered a few pastries for us to try. We had the fruit tart and a blueberry pastry. The quiche was very good! Right amount of spinach and cheese. The crust was excellent! I don’t like dry crust. I believe it ruins a baked food. Not this crust, flaky and firm. I have to say the pastries were just as excellent! The blueberry pastry was a favorite for me. The fruit tart was very good, my wife absolutely loved it. The fruit was fresh and the tart had a pleasing flavor with the perfect texture.
This is a place to try! It made my wait so well worth it! It’s small little local gems like Aux Delices that makes exploring our hometown so enjoyable!
Thanks again Anna for such a nice delicious morning!
Coffee bar, tables in and outside.
Excellent food.
There are many choices to chose from such as croissants and pastries. Chocolate croissant and almond croissant were very good. The fruit tart so delicious ! Definitely recommend!
