Lovely place and atmosphere. Service was so nice and the owners are always walking around speaking to people etc. Just had coffee and a cookie/ brownie that was lovely. Hoping to get savory next time but I everyone who’s been says it’s good quality and great value.

Very French, very Sheffield. Be prepared to wait for a table but with a £5 glass of wine that’s not a hardship and the food is definitely worth it. Cooked with love and served with a sense of fun and a passion for French cuisine and high-quality British produce. Just lovely.

My second visit here, first for a coffee with work, this time for food and a beautiful glass of wine (or two!) with friends, baby and dogs.
Great service, the staff are very knowledgeable, take their recommendation if you can’t decide!
Food is exceptional. All round great place, highly recommend it.

The best greeting on entry I think we have had well done guys.
The atmosphere & food was also amazing.
The salmon on brioche & chocolate cake was yummy
I will return on my next visit to Sheffield.

Outstanding and beyond is the only way to describe this establishment.
Today, my friend and I went to visit the new Aux Bon Vivant in Sheffield, after seeing fantastic promotional videos on social media.
I would like to kindly thank the co-owner of the business, who welcomed us warmly inside and provided us with knowledge on the business. Hats down to her in working with a 3 month old baby!
She had made us aware they were full when we first came in (1pm-2pm), but told us times which would be most quiet with their availability, which we took on board and returned with a table available.
As a French person, the food transported me back to France, with the perfect balance of seasoning and a truly imbedded feel of traditional French food.
Furthermore, I would like to thank the whole team for making the experience one to remember, and a massive congratulations to the owners for such as successful business and their new born.
I would most definitely be returning and would highly recommend. One thing I will note is that they don’t take any reservations under 6 people, which in consideration for a start up business is very reasonable!

It’s so much more than just a cafe; it’s a proper all-day French bistro and the best new spot in Sheffield.

The quality is incredible, mostly because Chef Pierre makes everything himself from scratch. We had some of the UK-made (but French approved!) charcuterie and cheese with a glass of Marius white wine to start, which was brilliant.
The bistro dishes are the real highlight though. We tried the Oeuf Meurette, which is a traditional poached egg in red wine jus—a total tangy revelation if you’ve never had it. The chicken ballotine and the pork belly with garlic gribiche were both flawlessly balanced.
From the artisan breads and pastries to the high-end bistro plates, everything Pierre and Zara are doing here is top-tier. It’s refined cooking but feels really relaxed and welcoming. If you want to spend an hour or two living well, go here. They do everything from breakfast to dinner , and everything in between. Amazing place, 10/10

Stopped by for lunch and had the mocha, tarte tatin, and butternut soup. All were very good and perfect for a cold snowy day. The space is cozy and inviting, and the owner and waiter were incredibly friendly. A lovely experience overall. Will come back again!

Tried this out for the first time today and wow … really nice. Exquisite flavours, light and bright, and lots of tasty looking options on the menu. The people working there were friendly. Pastries looked proper French. I’ll be back for more for sure

I had a lovely afternoon at this lovely french cafe, with delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and the raspberry cheesecake was to die for. The garlic raclette potatoes were quite small but so flavoursome, so overall worth it in my opinion. I would highly recommend a visit!

Wow. This French cafe is something else. Visited for the first time tonight after walking past it being built for the past couple of months and it surpassed all of my expectations. We had the bistro classics (which change weekly!) of duck breast, crispy paella rice with an orange/shallot jus along with a chicken supreme, cheesy new potatoes and a portobello mushroom sauce. The food was hearty and homely, their service was so great and I cannot to try more stuff on their changing menus! It’s affordable, with the prices being a bargain for the quality you receive and it is quickly making its way on the favourites list.
