Before Brunch hit every restaurant’s menu Automatic Slim’s had one of the best brunches in the city! $3 mimosas or the mimosa bong for the table It was my go-to spot! Always a recommendation for others. Recently I went to check out my old favorite and although the food was pretty solid there were a few things I think they could work on. I got the red velvet waffle and added fried chicken and breakfast potatoes. My waffle was GOOD but I was disappointed at how the cream cheese was drizzled plus my potatoes were cold. The cream cheese looked like small clumps of frosting were just tossed on the waffle so I just turned it over for the picture. The flavor was there it was just the presentation. However, my real concerns are with the restrooms. They were pretty horrible and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. I couldn’t stop thinking about how Automatic slim’s has plenty of happy hour specials and having to use that restroom. I think with a little deep cleaning and more attention to detail they can easily jump back up to 5 stars.

This was a cool brunch spot! Parking isn’t super abundant, but if you can make it in, it’s totally worth it!! We ordered the 3 pig omelet and the salmon Benedict! They had mimosa’s and bloody Mary’s for $3 when we went in. (Not sure if it’s only during a certain time frame). The food was great though! Fun atmosphere and we had a great waitress. 5 out of 5 stars! Their drink menu looked really good too!

Ate here while my son was running the full marathon for the St. Jude Classic. The place was packed yet we were easily seated (party of 4) in under 20 minutes. Our server was outstanding and attentive. My meal was fresh, hot, and delicious. And my youngest even enjoyed a quick nap from all the walking .

The brisket was delicious and really good and they have good drinks, server was nice. The outside doesn’t make anyone curious about it sorta looks like a vintage grocery story. I recommend the food and the white female server with braids was friendly. I’ll come back.

What if your plumber, or your dentist decided he’d just charge you an extra 20% without warning you?…or your grocery bill went up by $30 when you had a receipt for $75? Don’t stand for lies. One star because the staff was nice and the steak, though a bad, grizzled cut of meat was well prepared. AUTO-GRATUITY is theft and underhanded. Plain and simple. If you have a couple of $20 cocktails, or order to go (or if you just weren’t paying attention you might walk out having given a 40% tip (!!). we aren’t Europe, nor do we support or expect this system.

I ordered my food online and it started it would be ready at 11:48, I made it there at 11:30. At 12, I was waiting the manager Nick was great but 12:30 I was still waiting and talked to GM about it Matt, he was so rude. He told me they were backed up in the kitchen and he couldn’t be in 2 places at once. I felt like that was very disrespectful and I told him I would give him a negative review. Over all, the food was delicious. I order shrimp and grits.
