The Shrimp Scampi was really good. The bread that they served with the shrimp’s campy. It’s really perfectly sweet and buttery.
The vibes were good. The price was appropriate for the taste, and the service is awesome. Would recommend to friends. They also have a good priority of wine and they sell bottles or just take glass of wine as well is available with nice desserts available. And at the end, they will give you a couple of cookies

I am truly baffled at the positive reviews. We were in from Tyler to antique shop for the day and got a recommendation from An owner to come here. The server was friendly-ish. The food was expensive, but I was thinking we would be paying for quality…. What came out was truly baffling. My husband got the broccoli cheese potato soup And it was bland and had no cream in it at all. I got the grilled cheese with tomato onions, and the tomato basil soup. Somewhere they should’ve said that it’s a deconstructed or open face sandwich…. I paid $21 for a miniature cup of bland chunky (not in a good way) soup and the weirdest focaccia bread with cheese and tomatoes on top? See picture… they were raw onions under melted cheese on top of focaccia. It really is wild to mess up a grilled cheese sandwich.

4.5/5 I think this bistro restaurant takes its sauces seriously—each dish shows clear attention to detail and well-balanced flavors. However, when it comes to the wine list, there isn’t much worth exploring.
A more thoughtful selection would really elevate the overall dining experience.

I highly recommend! Quality ingredients, excellent presentation of the dishes, great service, and a little kitchen in the back serving up food like it was made at the house of a friend who is a great cook. It’s a little place and you can smell all the amazing cooking going on twenty feet away from you. Go eat there and support this business, you will be glad you did.
I had the Mardi Gras sandwich and a cup of French Onion Soup. My wife had the amazing Apple Chicken salad with strawberry vinaigrette. We split the Apple Streusel a la mode.

We had a great meal at Austin Street Bistro. The sausage lasagna delivered cozy, savory layers, while the Mardi Gras sandwich brought bright, zippy flavors – perfect combo. The fresh brown bread and the crisp salad with their house vinaigrette were simple and spot-on. Every bite tasted fresh and truly homemade. We’ll be back!

This place completely changed the game for bread before the main course. No one else will ever come close. The bread was AMAZING! I had the pecan encrusted salmon, and it was absolutely delicious. My wife had the rooster skin, and she loved it. Our only regret was that we were too full to get desert, and the bread pudding also looked wonderful. We’ll have to go back!

Passed this bistro 100 times walking around Jefferson and never stopped in thinking it was more like a lady’s tea room than a real place to eat. A friend treated me to lunch and choose this spot. Thrilled that she did. I had the herb mozzarella Crispini entree. It had a salad and bread starter. I’m not sure what the bread was topped with but if you put it on a nail, I would eat it. The Crispini came out steaming hot covered with the most delicious marinara sauce I have ever eaten. And the coup de gras were little ginger snaps served after the dishes were cleared. Perfection. Don’t pass this place thinking it’s cucumber sandwiches and tea like I did. The delicious food is only surpassed by the wonderful, like they know you, service. Already planning my next trip back with my mom, and my sister in laws and more friends…..

Oh. My. Word. The locals recommended we try the Austin Street Bistro and I’m glad we listened. When we first arrived, who I assume was the owner asked us to come back in 10-15 minutes so her crew could take a needed break – that type of leadership impressed me. She risked losing paying customers to prioritize her team. Wow. Now on to the food. We had the Asian chicken salad – incredible – and corned beef sandwich- also amazing. Their special bread is dessert like and they even served little oatmeal cookies for post dinner. The atmosphere is comfortable and very authentically “bistro”. Everyone was kind and the food was amazing. This is a MUSTY place – I must return again!

Food is so tasty and good. The Crostini with the herb mozzarella was so delicious. The cream of curried peanut soup was very good. The egg salad and skillet potatoes were so good. Reminded me of grandma’s skillet potatoes! Highly suggest you try this place when in Jefferson.
